I Like this place a lot. It is small and almost homely with a nice vibe and a huge window at the front which dominates the place giving lots of natural light. Granted it is not exactly a breath taking vista beyond the glass, but gives an opportunity to people watch and see the odd tram. Cristin L in a previous review mentions the staff — she’s right, they are all happy and friendly, it definitely adds to the place. The coffee is mediocre at best, but I’ll happily suffer it for a comfortable seat and good sandwich.

Just in case you’ve missed them, the O’Briens Sandwich Bars are all over Dublin. Some are good and some aren’t so good, but this one is the best I’ve ever been too. The décor is lovely with a grand fireplace, comfy seats and nice lighting. The staff are friendly and fast, and will deliver your order to your table whether you sit inside or outside. I got the ham and cheese toasty along with a pot of tea and it was just delightful. They also have lots of newspapers on hand for their customers to read. Four stars because the service was excellent.

Really nice staff here. And they are quick at making sandwiches. Me and some girls from work go here for a pre-lunchtime-shop because we know we get a sit down lunch quickly. The Caesar on a plain bagel is my favourite.
