It’s usually closed when I want a sandwich, but was open today. Their lunch deal is nice, € 6.50 for soup and one of the selected sandwiches/wraps/melts. I got the Broccoli and cheddar soup with a Tuna melt which was in a wrap. The soup wasn’t bad considering my fetish for a green veg+cheese soups(spinaxh and blue cheese being my ultimate favourite), a bit thin on the side but the taste was fine. The wrap wasn’t bad either, I find salsa a bit odd with tuna, but maybe that’s just me! Soup maybe a bit too warm for summer, maybe they should have an option for a smoothie or juice instead. But overall great selection of gourmet style sandwiches here, will try the goat’s cheese one with beetroot next time.

The location is great, just off the Red Line’s Jervis stop, and it’s nice to sit outside and have a cuppa while waiting for the last possible minute to get your tram. But the quality of the food is meh. I don’t know where those chocolate chocolate chip muffins in the«lily» paper come from, but EVERYBODY in Dublin seems to have them, and some know how to defrost/store them properly and some don’t. This place don’t. It’s not that they’re bad, they’re just not good. My Americano was OK, and I’m content with the nice outside seating, so I’ll just have to go back and try something else to eat. Bottom line: Seriously, where do those muffins come from?

I must say that out of all the sandwich chains in the city this is my favourite. They have some great sandwich ideas on their massive menu boards — the décor is nice and inviting. There’s plenty of healthy and veggie options available. I must say I haven’t sampled any of their sweet offerings — but with sandwiches that good! I also get big boxes of these sandwiches delivered to our office for meetings — the perfect way to break up that long meeting

Always a great choice for lunch, Munchies offers good food and a relaxed atmosphere to step into from outside. The girls behind the counter are very pleasant and helpful, and will give suggestions if you’re not too sure what you want. My personal favourites are the ‘munchie brunchie’(sausage, bacon, egg with relish on a toasted crunchie roll) and the ‘santas delight’(turkey, stuffing and cranberries on the crunchie roll) Good grub at a good price! For those who like tea, i’ve been reliably informed the tea is very good also!

Dropping by a star for the sheer annoyance of offering kitten-weak wifi. It may be free, but if your intention is to load anything other than google… kids, you’re out of luck.

I went into this Munchies for lunch today and the food was as always brilliant. Like the main one on South William, this one makes delicious sandwiches, salads and wraps. I just love the way they blend different ingredients, so much more inventive than the ubiquitous ham and cheese toastie offered at other Irish cafes. I ordered the Santa’s Delight(cute name) which has all the fatty things I love: bacon, turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce. If you’re not a fan of heavy foods, the menu does lighter options like the Veggie Sizzler(salsa, guacamole and lots of veg) and the Simply Vegetables(a wrap with carrot, baby spinach, semi-sundried tomatoes). The salads are also a healthy choice too. They’re really big and worth the 7 odd Euro. This shop is also great because of its botanic atmosphere. It looks like a greenhouse with its glass panelling and green plants. There’s plenty of seating upstairs so don’t be fooled by the boxy exterior.

The Munchies Millennium branch is a great place to grab a coffee and mull over the papers. Downstairs may look very ‘cafeteria’ but if you venture upstairs there is a lovely dining area with light pine chairs and great old-fashioned black and white photographs covering the walls. The upstairs section sits like a loft over the serving area, giving the whole space a really lovely airy feel to it. The coffee is pretty decent, and they have a morning special of a coffee and pastry for 3 euro. Not bad, not bad at all. The sandwiches are of the healthy variety and aren’t too badly priced either. There is free wifi(for 20 minutes anyway) so it’s a good place to catch up on those emails. I definitely recommend heading to the upstairs section of Munchies for a bit of quiet time.
