You want fast food but yet don’t want to slum it in a Mc Donalds or Burger King, this is the next step up… Fast food but made to order. You want a causal, quick burger and chips then Eddie’s is your man, at about € 10 too it’s a cheap olé feed. They do have fantastic shakes/malts which is there stand out, I reckon!

This Eddie Rockets has changed to the newer Rockets which is is A kind of streamlined version of eddies. They place looks great much prefair the kind of modern take on 50s dinner rather than the old kind of rundown dine’r look that it did have. Burgers are just a little more modern too and the chips have changed to crinkled crispy chips which are to die for !! its is of corse still a little expensive for what it is ! but sure thats par for the corse.

Worst service EVER! They forgot some of our order and there was no sauce on the chicken wings. When we called to complain and ask for our food to be sent out, the supervisor argued with us and didn’t want to give us the food. She offered to send it out again«tomorrow» and then hung up on us. Would never order from here again

Ambiente y comida razonables. El motivo de la valoración baja es que(ayer al menos) hacia bastante frío. Tuvimos que pasar toda la cena con el abrigo. Positivo: es de los pocos sitios para cenar tarde y que no te pongan problemas. Volveremos en verano.

I went to the Eddie Rockets on Baggot Street the other day as I was looking for somewhere to grab a quick, filling bite. I know what to expect from Eddie R’s so I knew it would be greasy and fill me up– perfect before a few pints. Food was decent– the sweet potato fries were a bit over done though, and the waitress seemed really annoyed when i went up to change the order even though she hadn’t put the order through yet.

Went for lunch and didn’t have to wait at all, the décor is perfect and adorably retro, I would not go back again but it was decent diner food, the shakes were very sub-par though. It is right outside temple bar are and does seem like kind of a tourist trap, go to one of the local pubs instead.

OK, this review is going to be quick — just like my recent visit here. I was in the area and needed something quick to eat, I see Eddies, yay! I go in more or less decided that I will order the Chicken Tenders basket meal from the value menu. Three tenders that come in a basket with fries and soft drink, I think it costs around 10EUR. Seated quickly I put in my order and it’s delivered to my table in double jig time. It was nice too(man I love the Cajun sauce in here). The staff were very friendly and quick. Sated, I leave and go about my business.

Very similar to Johnny rockets in the us. All American style diner offering burgers fries etc. tried burger and salad plus shake. All were fine.

Schade!

In my views, this is probably the best fast food restaurant you could get. Tasty food, lovely music(if you’re into the 60’s), jukeboxes ARE working, funny wall signs, service ok. The only minus point I can think of is the price, it is a bit expensive for a fast food restaurant. But hey! as they say, there ain’t no finer diners! :)

Not bad — 3.5 stars. I stopped at Eddie Rocket’s for a breakfast one morning, primarily to compare Irish diner food to that in the US. Overall I thought it help up decently well. I ordered a standard breakfast: 2 eggs over easy, potatoes, bacon, and toast. Holy hell they give you a lot of bacon(check my pic). It tasted good, but was really, really salty. The eggs and toast were good, but I thought they could’ve put more seasonings or something on the potatoes. Service was fine. I could see myself eating here every now and then if I lived in Dublin.

Being a South-Dublin ruggerbugger I have to like Eddie Rockets, that is like an unwritten rule. And I have to agree with Kate, that this one seems to be the best one in town. The staff are very nice and I’ve never had to wait for long for my burgers. I particularly love the cheezy chicken when I’m hungry and the chilli fries for a little treat… and of course all of that always with a Oreo shake– yummy! All of that in a pseudo-American diner, well it’s aiming to be more American than a proper American diner, with 70s music. It’s my guilty treat.

This Eddies lives on the lunch time rush and is pretty quite most other times. Except when match day mayhem descends and then it is complete lunacy. My recommendation is the chicken tenders, with a half-and-half and vanilla shake. This is the meal of destiny, it seriously makes me hungry thinking about it. Oh, they also have the coolest fridge ever here, all four sides of it are made of glass, it’s pretty cool, check it out.

Chocolate malt… mmmmm. I like Eddie Rockets and I don’t like burger joints so that has to mean something. I always get a chocolate malt and a cheese please burger. Just one problem, sorry two problems: 1. The plate the burger is on is too small(I always ask for a big one because I mess) and 2. The burger is too big to fit in a bite(did I mention I always make a mess). But it just tastes so darn good. Particularly good for a bite when it’s Friday night, you’ve gone straight out after work, it’s now 10/11pm and your absolutely marvin. Get your chops around a burger.

Eddie Rocket’s is obviously a well known fast food chain around the country but I had to mention the one on baggott street in particular. It’s definitely the best one in Dublin. This is my favourite Eddie’s and one I pop to when im feeling like a naughty treat at lunchtime — it’s right beside my office and I have been known to go here for lunch on occasion… ok maybe up to 3 times a week but that was only when times were tough in my life and I needed comfort food! The staff are really friendly and they do a fab club sandwich. I also love the combo option — ½ chips and ½ onion rings with garlic mayo. Junk food heaven mmmm

Eddy Rockets is part of the same franchise as Ed’s easy diners in the UK. There are similar variations all over the world although Eddy Rockets claims to be the first! The menu offers the same variety(typical american diner food) and the décor of the restaurant is almost identical. I like the atmosphere in these types of restaurants as it is quite laid back, the service is always good & the food is fantastic(possibly due to the fact that they use 100% Irish Beef in the burgers) and generous portions. Big thumbs up from me!
