For some reason I keep coming back for more. Especially for those cheese and garlic chips. Eddie Rocket is very handy thanks to the opening hours, and thanks to the fact that they are serving alcohol.

Food is good, a great hangover cure but pretty pricey for what it is. A great range of shakes. Service seemed slow considering it’s a diner and has a reduced menu.

I simply love the burgers, a few of my friends disagree with me but I think its one of the best american style burgers in Dublin …

Well they have eddies nachos. I mean it’s hard to say a bad word about nachos, but nothing special to this place. It’s litro the same as any other eddies, but with a smaller simplified menu. It’s got a Couple of burgers, salads, fries and shakes. The order system is also quite different. Unlike eddies normal waiter service, in rockets you order and pay at the desk and then wait for your name to be called to collect ur order. They offer free refills from an accessible soda fountain. Which is good. Who doesn’t love unlimited coke :) The décor is also quite different. It’s still the American diner style, but maybe just slightly more modern. I kinda preferred it. But yeah if I’m craving eddies, I’m not gonna trek it down the quays when ther are lots more eddies, in more accessible locations around the city.

this place looks like its going to be something special but the reality of it is, its just eddie rockets with a smaller less annoying menu and wrapped in posh brown paper. Deceiving if u ask me. Its a good idea to have a very much take away friendly Eddie Rockets in that location by the Liffey but i felt let down by the fact it was actualy the exact same food.

Just like Eddies but a smaller menu and better food! Why arent the burgers here the same ones in eddie rockets main diners? It was soooo good! So juicy, so gooey and cheesy and full of pickle and piping hot in the middle! Nicest burger ive had in a long time beats any Gourmet burger! Just a simple american style cheeseburger :) the chips were better too and they were crinkly! The menu has a long list of shakes(mint aero, kinder bueno, nutella etc) and you get free refills on sodas. The restaurant itself is built on the docks and its a glass building like J2 grill&sushi so its cool in the day or night with the view of the water :). just go get a cheeseburger. Get two actually!

This place did not feel like any other Eddie Rockets that I have been to in Dublin. This is a good thing. Hence all the stars! The food was fresh, the staff were friendly and courteous. It all makes such a big difference. I love the location of this site-you get a great view of the Liffey and all the small boats passing by. Still, it was quite a bit of cash for a hot dog and fries.

Rockets it’s a sort if off shoot of Eddie rockets, the main difference is a smaller menu they have it set up so they can get food out really quick. Just little things like you get 2 skinny beef pattys instead of the one large one the the burgers. This means the line actually moves really quick a lunch times. The food dosnt feel or look as greasy as a normal Eddie rockets either. And the chips are these new crinkled chips which are amazing! They alas do great sweet potato fires as well now which are lovely again. The building it’s in it’s lovely ! As more of a modern feel but still a little bit if that 60s flare eddies are known for. One if the best and worst features of the place is the big glass wall that runs the whole liffey side of the place which gives a fantastic view to check out while you eat, you see the small boats go up and down the river, the gorgeous Samuel Beckett bridge, all is good and as luck would have the sun breaks out as well … But no not good luck … Yes views are amazing but the first lick of sunshine and the whole wall turn into a giant magnifying glass !! The sun beat down your face hard the temperature suddenly shoots to what feels like 25 degrees, like eating in a green house! So yeah if your looking for a quick burger and chips just maybe give it a miss in the sunny days :)

Really good quality food to be a fast food restaurant, especially the potato chips with bacon & cheese. A bit expensive though. Cool staff!
