Debenhams Cafe

Gut, es ist in einem Kaufhaus. Und ich war auch skeptisch. Man sitzt quasi senkrecht über Henry St und hat eine tolle Aussicht auf das Shoppinggetümmel. Essen und Getränke? Nichts besonderes. Die Lage macht’s hier.

The Debenhams Café is situated on the top floor of the department store, formerly known as Roches. It’s a great spot for a bit of lunch in between some retail therapy — a much needed rest from carrying heavy shopping bags!!!
They have a few different self service counters — a salad bar, one with hot dishes like curry, another with bits and pieces like chicken goujons, cocktail sausages etc and other bits like soups and main courses. They also do sandwiches, desserts and a range of drinks and teas and coffees.
You’d think this place was always jammers, but it’s actually not too bad. You can always find a seat.
My only negative thing is that you pay for your food by weight, so you only know how much you’re paying when you get to the counter. It usually works out a little pricey, but nothing too extortionate thankfully.

Debenhams café is a really nice spot for a bit of lunch during some retail therapy. Architecturally it is something different with the window box where you can sit hanging over Henry street and watch the hustle and bustle of the city centre shoppers pass by. The menu should find something to suit anyone for a bit of lunch. Although one of the stranger yet brilliant menu options on offer is a bowl of chocolate soup — Scrumptious!!!

The café in Debenhams, Henry Street, on the 2^nd floor offers a range of snacks, lunch meals and coffees. But the real draw to this café for me was their ‘Hot Chocolate Soups’, served in a soup bowl and available in many variations, this indulgent hot chocolate makes for a great reason to stop by Debenhams or take a break from shopping. Also, the café looks out high above Henry Street which makes for some interesting people watching!
