History

Established in 1956.

Formerly known as C&D shoes, Isaac Jackman’s shoe repairs, is a 100% Irish owned family business which was established in 1956. Since our birth the main focus is on quality and service. We still hold onto traditional shoe repairing methods, but as trends and styles change we combine new types of shoe construction and methods to stay up to date with fashion, fitness and leather footwear. The names Chanel, Jimmy Choo, Prada and Armani are synonymous with luxury, however Isaac has become well acquainted with them as the country’s leading luxury department store’s go-​to repair man. Our main workshop is located at 41 Charlemont Street, Dublin 2 and our Sandymount store is a depot for dropping and collecting all repairs.

In August 2015 we revamped the Sandymount store and reopened in September as Cobblers Wardrobe. While we still take in all repairs as normal we are now also a pre loved consignment store.

At Cobblers Wardrobe, we are here to help you find a new home for your once loved possessions. We mainly work on a consignment basis and welcome and sell and kinds of pre loved luxury fashion such as clothing, shoes, handbags and accessories. We know good items when we see them and are always looking for unique, vintage and one off pieces. Everything we take in is gently used and you’ll often find that some items have never been worn. We truly believe in recycling and can guarantee quality products at affordable prices.
