This is my favorite Boots so far. You might think that because it is situated in the shopping mall it has to be very crowded. Well, trust me it’s not. If you go just 7 minutes away to the Boots on Grafton Street — yes, that is crowded. The one is St Stephens shopping mall is not that crowded at all. I like that they have a big make up brands choice, a lot of hair care products and in general everything is neat and sorted out. I always come back to this one.

«so, you all have the same thing?» «yup» “you, your wife and son?” «yup» “with the same symptoms?” «yup» ”…buuut, your dose is worse?“ I look at her quizzically«of course, I am a man after all» «?» ”…man flu, much more serious than anything a wife or child can get… look, I know you don’t understand, how could you? you are a lady, maybe if one of your male colleagues would care to tend to me, he’ll understand…“ It was at this point the nice lady behind the counter, instead of shouting things like«STAT»… and screaming that she needs«20CC of oxyproposomething» simply reached to the shelf behind her and picked a packet of lemsip. I was beginning to think she wasn’t taking me seriously. …actually they are incredibly helpful in Boots and more than willing the dole out advice where needed, even to neurotic short, fat balding man.

In general I try to avoid Boots because it’s way over priced for a lot of brands. For example I bought some Manuka honey sweets here in the winter, then as I was passing the nearby Natures Way store I decided to check if they had it also. It was over 2EUR cheaper than Boots. However, swings and roundabouts, I am a fan of is the Boots own brand hand cream, which is very reasonable and goes on lovely. I was here today because I couldn’t find what I was looking for in Dunnes, so I checked boots and they had it. As for this store, it’s well laid out. This Boots is better than the one on Grafton street, but only because it’s got more space. They do have a great selection of all your usual pharmacy fare. It’s bright and clean. Staff are generally friendly and very helpful. But as a rule, I try to shop in a supermarket or in your run of the mill chemist down the road, but as a last resort Boots is reliable

Having revisited this branch recently I concede wholly that this branch of Boots offers a much more spacious, airy environment in comparison to its nearby sister store on Grafton Street, that whose aisles are frequently uncomfortably congested by way of the hectic crowds streaming in from the street. The wide aisles tender a much more pleasant shopping experience deficient in any of the exasperating hullabaloo proffered by Grafton Street’s undersized and consequently perpetually jammed store. If you are in the centre of town then I would highly recommend you visit this store if you require anything in the way of toiletries as not only does the extended space proffer a much less rushed and harried shopping experience but also means that a greater range of stock can be housed and hence you are not constrained to reluctantly having to buy from a limited variety of goods as you are within the Grafton Street store. After experiencing the dreadful heaving Grafton Street store the open space and uncongested aisles within this store come as such a pleasing relief. Here, within the St. Stephen’s Shopping Centre branch staff roam the aisles and are on hand to ask questions and help you track down whatever it is you are looking for. This is a welcoming attribute and emphasizes the store’s attention to personable customer service especially when compared to the way staff are shackled to the checkout desks in Grafton Street. There isn’t even enough room to re-stack the shelves during opening hours owing to the limited room in the aisles. Within St. Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre the Boots stocks almost every toiletry, personal hygiene product and piece of make-up you could possibly with for. Having this broad range of goods stocked across a large shop floor means the amount of ‘3 for the price of 2′ and suchlike special offers are more apparent and altogether makes for a very gratifying shopping experience.
