History

Established in 1911.

Our story begins in 1905 on the sea-washed decks of the Battleship Potemkin, the pride of the imperial Tsarist fleet, when Ivan Beshoff and his shipmates mutinied against the notoriously harsh régime of the officers of Tsar Nicolas.

In the aftermath of the mutiny, Ivan arrived in Dublin and the legend that now spans two centuries took off as the name Beshoffs became part of what we are today: Purveyors of imperial quality products, served to you with a warm welcoming Irish smile.

Located on the West Pier of picturesque Howth Harbour, Beshoffs Market uniquely brings together the very best of seafood; fresh from the counter or cooked to order at the seafood tapas bar.
