This is a lot better than the Dublin branch, at least for food. Some decent beer is available too, although since it shares the same building as the Porterhouse, when it gets busy later you can probably get beer in the Porterhouse and watch sports in the Woolshed if you like. Probably frowned upon though but thankfully there is an OK selection of Aussie and American beer as well as some Irish stuff and that’s without counting Diageo or any of the other usual suspects. It’s a great place to have lunch and having a Kangaroo steak on the menu is just fantastic and authentic. I didn’t have it when I was in last but I have had roo in Australia and it’s a lovely tasting meat. Don’t worry about skippy, there are more than 34 million kangaroos in Australia, a lot more than people and they are a legitimate and regulated food source. Anyway, Woolshed is a great place to watch foreign sports and have a few beers. Due to its location, you are probably more likely to find me next door in Porterhouse though.

Good place for watching footie or other kind of sports. You can get a pint of Guinness for around 5 €, staff is friendly. Come early to get a decent place to sit and watch the game.

I’m rating this place solely on the food. I was here for lunch so I’m not sure how the place is during the night as a place to go out. The menu is a cross between Australian and American and is pretty average I would say. They food it not bad but it’s nothing to write home about. The place has a ton a TVs all around showing football matches from all over the place so it is good if you want to go somewhere and watch football with friends.
