The Thomond Bar situated in Cork City Centre is an outstanding example of a traditional, well run Irish Pub. We are situated in Marlborough Street just off Patrick Street. Cork City’s main shopping street.

Food and Beverage:

All day dining is a top feature of the bar, with a full menu available without interruption from 12 noon to 10pm. This is served all day. Weather permitting, you may dine outside in the peaceful pedestrianised Marlborough Street.

We extend a sincere welcome to newcomers and regulars alike. First time visitors will understand why the Thomond bar has been showered with awards and rave reviews. Interesting combinations are a distinctive style of our food menus. Traditional Irish fare produced from local farm produce who, we believe, share our passion for the freshest of products. Products which provide the foundation of our much talked about food that is enjoyed all day every day in the bar. Our locally sourced food is served in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. It is the ideal venue for a meal or get-​together with friends. The cuisine is traditional Irish with a modern European flavour and the menus feature many traditional Irish dishes such as beef and Guinness stew and Bacon and cabbage as well as Vegetarian Menu option. Our beverage choice is extensive with local craft beers, stouts, wine and spirits, as well as speciality teas and coffees.

History

Established in 2010.

The Thomond Bar established itself as sports bar, with a focus on providing it’s patrons with the very best in irish home cooking, sourced from the now world famous «English Market». Like any evolving business, we recently added to our already varied menu, with improved steak, burgers, vegetarian, family friendly and new coeliac suitable menus. Situated just off St. Patrick Street, (Corks main shopping thoroughfare), we are ideal for a quick lunch, a casual get together or a meal with your family and friends.

Be it Rugby, Football, GAA, NFL and other sporting events, we cater for it.

We have multiple HD big screens, and 14 other HD TVs, inside, and also outside in our heated smoking patio area.
