I have stayed here for 3 weeks in total when I was placed at the hospital here. The first time I stayed in a room on the ground floor and the second time I was upstairs, and I must say the quality sure was different! The shower in the ground floor room didn’t work too well and the dial on the radiator was broken. The room upstairs was nicer and had a larger desk area with a better layout and was close to the kitchen so it was much nicer. There is 5 rooms in total, each with 2 beds(either 2 single or 1 single plus 1 double) and a common kitchen with basic cooking utensils, a fridge, microwave, small tv and washing up liquid. There is no breakfast or food provided here, but there is a Dunnes only 5 minutes away, and there are a few bars and cafes in the area as well as Spar and Londis. The heating is the storage kind so it’s quite cold in winter and takes a while to heat up, but for the low rate of € 30 per night I’d say this accommodation is pretty nice albeit basic. There is also free wifi! By the way, there are no toiletries, hair dryers, toaster, can opener etc. so it’s best to bring anything you might need, although there is a clothes iron. The walk to the hospital is 20 minutes.
