Dinner here was a treat! Excellent prime rib(even offered us seconds) and the dessert was perfect. Our server was a darling young lady, who made us feel special even though we were there without reservations and in jeans. The service made us feel like royalty.

I used to go for breakfast every time I flew into Shannon but I guess that the restaurant is now just for hotel guests and is not open to the general public. How I found that out is the reason for my one star. The guy who«greeted» me said«how many» and I responded«1 please». «What’s your room number» he asked, and I said«Oh I’m not staying in the hotel, just stopping in for breakfast.» To which his only answer was to shake his head back and forth like he caught me trying to steal a free breakfast. I guess he expected me to just walk away(or confess?) but I was so taken aback I asked«What does that mean?». He said they have plenty of hotel guests to serve and they would not be able to serve me. It would have been easy enough for him to say«Sorry we’re full today» or «Sorry but breakfast is only for hotel guests now» but I guess it was just easier for him to rudely shake his head and expect me to walk out.

We were lucky to be saved by the Dunraven! We had booked into what we had thought was a nice place, & it was, excepting for the smell of paint… very happy to have found such a sweet sanctuary in the Dunraven. We were taken in and given our room well before check in even on a busy Friday complete with a big wedding. Fine folks, very generous breakfast.

Was at a wedding at the Dunraven Arms recently and I was very impressed. The part of the hotel we stayed in was in the original building and it was a throwback to many decades ago, in a really positive sense. Yeah, it was old school but it had the best of that. The bed was one of the most comfy beds I’ve slept in ever. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was beautful. Thumbs up!

*My review is for the restaurant and bar area only as I did not stay in the hotel.* This wonderful restaurant located within a hotel in Adare is simply charming. The bar area is open and bright with tables as well as a proper bar. This is a place locals go for a special occasion to dine .It’s a popular spot from what I was told for weddings. It’s not at all trendy but it is upscale(without being stuffy). I had dinner there on Thursday night. The staff, from the owners to waitstaff, were very warm and friendly. For a starter I ordered the chicken and mushroon terrine. It was delicious. My friend had the whitefish tempura which he said was excellent. For a main course I had the hake fish special. The fish was cooked perfectly, and mildly seasoned. I will definitely be back when in Adare. It’s a fantastic place in beautiful town.

Right in the middle of Adare, this charming hotel has managed to resist the urge to go modern and yet provides above-average WiFi performance both in signal and bandwidth. While it might seem strange that many of my reviews focus on the WiFi instead of the room itself, it’s an important feature for those of us tied down with digital leashes or nagging friends who demand instant receipt of the day’s photography. There’s a free parking lot on site, right off the main drag. Helpful hotel staff will do their best to assist with your sightseeing plans or future road-trip destinations if asked. The breakfast is traditional and very good, with service to match. Yet another hotel with 110VUS power outlet, which was nice considering that all my Apple power adapters for my fruit orchard worth of electronics seemed to get pretty hot while plugged into adapters. A quick walk to numerous pubs and shopping opportunities, this is definitely where you want to stay in the area. I don’t even recall seeing another hotel in the vicinity, so you may not have a choice… and in this case, that’s not a bad thing.

I stayed here two weeks ago while on a roadtrip around Ireland. I was so happy that the hotel was located on the main road in Adare, because my friend and I had been having some trouble with GPS guiding us on local streets in bigger towns. Also, there was plenty of free parking available in the lot adjacent to the hotel. Our room on the ground floor had a view of the garden. The room was spacious, everything seemed new and very clean, and I slept like a baby. The hotel is located in the middle of town — Adare is very picturesque, and there are several pubs nearby. In the morning, the traditional Irish breakfast was excellent.

AWESOME place! Breakfast is to die for! Dinner was great-men wear a jacket! Service was some of the best I have ever had at a hotel. Very cool bar to hang out in. The grounds are very clean and well kept. If you are looking for a more traditional American place room-wise, this is your place. Hope we have the opportunity to go back! The town of Adare is very traditional — only 200 residents and four pubs! Woo-hoo! Very nice people everywhere you go. Strike up a conversation with anyone you run into and they will open up with stories.
