I used to love this lounge but the food quality has gone downhill. We used to rave about the BBQ pork rice but now the BBQ pork is hard and chewy. A bit disappointed but the service is still great

The first couple of times I’ve visited were 5-star visits. While it opens at 9:30am, there are few people in the lounge, so it’s a great alternative to the busy Cathay Pacific lounges. Very nice shower rooms to get cleaned up in before your long flight. Top notch staff. Awesome location overlooking Gate 15 and the tarmac on that side of the airport. Great coffee bar, and(in the past) the food items were delicious. However, this last visit was kind of underwhelming: the food was uninspired, and there was even a weird«mix-up» where the OJ was mixed with soda water instead of regular water… which means they used concentrate. Still a great lounge, so hopefully it was just an off day.

In a word: Impressive! Beautiful design, albeit slightly minimalist. Great food and bev options. Lots of work stations with charging points, TV areas and an extensive hot and cold buffet. Was taken on a personal tour by the Lounge Manager who *INSISTED* that I try their signature dish(Hong Kong BBQ Pork) and signature cocktail(Chi Chi). Have to admit, both taste absolutely amazing. Qantas have definitely hit the mark with this lounge.

After several failed attempts at locating this lounge, finally had enough time before my flight back home to check out this fairly new lounge. Located right outside immigration makes this the closest lounge right after you enter hkia. First thing I noticed is how spacious and how much ample space one has to sit and enjoy a bite to eat. Since this is a combined F and J lounge it’s nice to have servers take your order for both food and beverages. They have more Western options for food which is a nice change from the typical noodles and fried rice which I usually have at other CX lounges. The char siu rice was offered as a lunch option while the dinner option was a fried prawn chow mein. Being pretty full from eating the char siu rice, I didn’t get a chance to try the chow mein but it did look pretty good. They feature a full bar along with some pretty tasty desserts. Didn’t get a chance to check out the shower facilities but I’d imagine them being similar to CX’s. Since I typically give myself a few hours to relax before jumping on the plane to fly home, this is definitely one I’ll be visiting more often. Service seems to be a lot better than current CX lounges as waiters were constantly coming by to take away dirty dishes. I had to bus my own dishes before settling down at a spot at The Wing as I write this review. As CX takes away benefits from their FF members in the coming year, I may have to strongly consider other OW partners to bank my mileage with. Cheers to Qantas on operating an awesome lounge!

Qantas has a reputation for some of the best airline lounges. This lounge won’t disappoint. Right next to the qantas departure gate with plenty of food, wine and beer. And showers if you wish to freshen up. All free for those holding membership or business class travel.

WOW. What a lounge. One of the best I’ve ever been in. Newly-refurbished, so it’s very large. Great, comfy seats, of many different types. But almost every one has a power and USB plug on it: recharging needs fulfilled! Nice outlook over the concourse below, plus out onto the airfield. Showers are great, nicely appointed and roomy. Trust me, after traipsing around 34-degree Hong Kong in a suit, and before a 9-hour flight to Sydney, a hot shower is worth more than anything else. Food was fantastic! Several spreads from snacks like nuts to full-on beef dishes and all sorts in between. There were even a la carte specials they’d bring, and dim sum carts randomly passing by to drop off treats(Deep-fried prawn won ton? Yes please!). There was a good variety in the beer, wine, and other drinks available, and staff were more than happy to provide table service if you wanted another.

The newly refurbished Qantas Club in Hong Kong offers so much more than your standard airline lounge. A chef inspired menu to order from and an excellent selection of wines makes the wait for your boarding call easy. Relax at the bar or at your own table and enjoy! My only disappointment was that my connecting flight was so soon. I would have enjoyed relaxing in the lounge for a little while longer! #qantas

The Qantas lounge was newly reopened in 2014, and available to Qantas club, and Sapphire/Emerald Oneworld members. The key thing to try here is the signature cocktail — Chi Chi. Which is rum with pineapple and lime juice. And also the BBQ pork dish, and food from dim sum trolleys. This lounge is set up in a way to encourage social interaction with fellow travelers so I wouldn’t use this place for getting stuff done. Plus as a OneWorld member, you should definitely check out the Cathay Pacific lounges(particularly the Wing for the Cabanas and for the signature Dan Dan noodles). For a good lounge for working, I’d suggest The Cabin.

The Qantas Hong Kong lounge is another great newly renovated lounge in the Qantas lounge network. Like most other Qantas lounges this one is heavily focused on Neil Perry’s food offerings. Not only is there a dish of the day(I had a tasty stir fry of prawns and green beans), but there is a bbq pork dish(only on offer from the bar), a decently sized buffet, as well as a moving trolley with dim sums. Indeed, you can have a full dinner here before your departure to Australia in order to maximize sleep on the flight. Although the lounge is quite spacious and can accommodate several hundred premium fliers, it can get very crowded as all the flights to Australia seem to leave at the same time. This is also a combined Business and First lounge, so if you’re a Qantas Platinum member(One World Emerald), you can check out Cathay Pacific’s First class lounges for a quieter and more decadent experience.
