My second visit since The Grill Room opened at the end of last year, food remains delicious and of good quality though the portion appeared to have become slightly smaller. Nonetheless it was a couple of hours well spent dinning there for my partner’s birthday. We ordered a half rack of pork ribs and surf & turf from the set menu to share, the steak was cooked nicely to our request(medium rare), tender and juicy but came on the slight colder side. The pork ribs were flavourful also but in my opinion slightly dry and could be cooked for longer to increase the tenderness. The truffle chips that came alongside were top notch and was fried perfectly. We also ordered a couple of brandy apple smash to wash all of it down and they were thoroughly enjoyable, though again too small for a 80 bucks cocktail with about 8 sips worth contained. Pricing-wise, not bad — HKD700 for 2 people which is comparatively cheaper compared to a lot other establishments of a similar calibre. And finally, in my opinion, it would be have the icing on the cake if the portion were bigger which I wouldn’t mind paying a little extra for.

A la carte instead of set dinner Quite good atmosphere for frds gathering and drinks. There have both bar tables and normal tables. Food is ok but no surprise. We tired short ribs, lamb rack, sautéed field mushrooms. Lamb is tender. I love it

«The three little wolves chargrilled the best caramelised ribs in town.» This is what they painted on the wall. The cute cartoon made a big contrast with the profressionally decored«chargrill kitchen». Without a thought, the two of us ordered the half ribs and yes, one Dragon Back pls — what else could I support if i dun support the HK local brew? What else? How about a pork belly. Great, we had our lovely meal at this high table. The pork belly turned out to be the best. Super fatty but it was chargrilled just perfectly. The beer was okay and the ribs were juicy. For those who can eat a lot, they have all u can eat ribs on tuesday.
