I’m not really a big fan of chicken hot pot but I went to this restaurant few times in this month cos their chicken hot pot is really good. I really like their soup cos it’s rich in flavor n it gives you sth like«after taste» Lol They offer different spicy level for the soup. I’ve tried both the mild one and the normal spicy one and I found that the mild one is not spicy at all :/ The chicken are perfectly cooked. You can add in the soup they provided and the other food that you order after you finish with the chicken. The food here is excellent but you may find it a bit crowded and messy. There was even a group of drunk people playing inside the restaurant but no one stopped them(not even the waiters). :/ This place is a bit pricy with 600 $ for 2. Or maybe we ordered a lot ._. One thing I dun like about this place is that it’s hard to find parking. There is street parking along the street but it’s always full. Last time we were lucky enough to find a parking right outside the restaurant with $ 4 per 30 mins. But I suggest you park somewhere else cos a lot of people double park there and we got stuck for more than 15 mins cos of it. But I’ll definitely come back for their tasty food(and the soup ;p)

I love hot pot! But not a fan of chicken hot pot. This was my second time trying chicken hot pot and this place did not impress me at all. My first time at chicken hot pot was at a different restaurant. I have to say this place is better than the last one I been to. We had a big party of 11 so we ordered all 3 flavors of chicken hot pot. We had the mild which was a little toward the sweet side and not spicy at all. The medium had some spice and sweet. The spicy one was spicy and it was numbing kind is spice. I was mainly at the spicy pot. The one part I was not a fan of chicken hot pot was because eating the chicken part. You would have to eat the chicken before you get to start to cook other foods. During the time you are trying to finish the chicken you get to the point where you are tired of eating the chicken since they have at least a whole chicken or half a chicken in the pot. If you only have 3 – 4 people it might be a lot to eat with hot pot to follow. We didn’t finished the whole chicken, we finished most of it and took them out of the pot so we can get to the good hot pot part of the night. After you are done with the chicken, you can add the soup in and wait for it to boil. For our spicy pot, it lost the spiciness after we added the soup. We had to order a bowl of sauce to add in our soup to bring the spicy back. The beef portion was small even we ordered the large plate. That was a little disappointing, I m used to getting a big plate at other places. For the price they charged for the plate of beef I think that was a rib off. The usual hot pot stuffs was OK. Very original. If I want hot pot, this would not be my first choice. And if you are planning to dine here, make reservation ahead of time, they do tend to get busy for dinner. Also, make sure you know which one you are going since there are 2 same restaurant in a block, one is on ground and the other one is either up or down stairs of a plaza.

Driving past the front of this chicken pot resturant in Tsuen Wan was always a spectacle– no matter what the time was, what the weather was– as long as the shop is open then there wil be a queue outside. Now admittednly I am biased towards hotpot hence I never bore a liking to chicken pot. For my taste I always thought it would be too hot and theres just not enough food«toppings» to choose from. Unfortunately for me, one of my best friends is an avid chicken pot fan and he told me that he had a solution to solve our rift– we could have both things at the same time. «Impossible» I thought– after all, how can you have a sticky chicken pot and put soup in it at the same time. It will just turn out all weird for sure. Thankfully, it didn’t. We went to the place finally and was lucky enough not to have queued for too long– i orginally thought the shop was tiny from the shopfront and the queue. The place is actually a labyrinth down the back and there are several sections to this place. We ordered the chicken pot(less hot) and ordered everything that we would usualy have for hotpot. Then came the moment of truth and… I still haven’t been turned. Hotpot is my favourite and its here to stay. However, its actually quite a nice to thing to be able to put soup in the chicken pot and continue hotpotting afterwards. The place is cramped and slippery and the prices are a little bit on the high side, however, if you are a chicken pot fan then I hear there is no better place than this.
