Federal Palace

This dim sum place is a favorite of my business colleagues and they seem to take me here nearly every time I visit their office. All of the food is decent and my colleagues are big fans.

Since Federal Palace is just right down stairs from my apartment in Hong Kong, this is probably one of the restaurants that I go to the most, just for convenience sake.
Chao Dynasty is actually the same restaurant, but on the right side of Federal Palace. They share the same kitchen and same menu so I have no idea why they have 2 names. Anyways, they are owned by the Federal Palace restaurant group.
Located on the 3^rd floor of Discovery Park Shopping Center, it is one of the only venues that has not been affected by the on going constructions. Access is easy since Discovery Park is connected to the MTR (subway) by an indoor passage and there are also plenty bus stops around the mall.
The food here is actually decent I think. Compare to some of the random Cantonese style dim sum restaurant, the quality of food is still very consistent. You pretty much know what you are going to get. The price is also very fair. Of course, this is Tsuen Wan, so you don’t have to pay for the high premium for a similar restaurant in the Hong Kong island. For those of you don’t know, Hong Kong island is like Manhattan in NY while Tsuen Wan is like… Fremont, CA. LOL
Tips:
— Come early on weekends. This place is popular with the locals so it gets pretty crowded.
