Only club members or members of other clubs with reciprocal relationships can pay for anything in the club so I don’t see the point of a Unilocal review. Having said that, I have been a member for many years and a regular, as a guest, for even longer. The food, atmosphere & service is 5+ star hotel level. The country club has a large pool, tennis courts, spa, large jungle gym, etc… But that is not the point of the place. As a club, you’ll see many regulars & Americans no less, so if that’s your thing, great & apply to be a member. If not, then the place is pointless for you.

I went to the American Club for an American Chamber of Commerce event and was pleasantly surprised that this hidden club has an incredible view of the city. Situated on the 48th and 49th floor, you can see the top of the IFC 1 (the shorter of the two) which is a rare sight. One of the things I love about it is that they implement a no cell phone policy. I think that’s really cool.
There’s a buffet there, but I didn’t actually get to try it. Otherwise, the location is easy to get to and the ambiance is nice.
