Cool hang out but they could just do with expanding the beer selection a bit. It looks hip enough to craft beers but they only have hitachino. There’s a great atmosphere near the front but you feel a bit out of the loop of you sit near the back.

Believe me when I tell you that I’m just back from this place! I met up with a few friends for a drink here. We hadn’t decided what to do for dinner but as they do have some food on their menu, we thought we’d ordered something if we got hungry. Me and a friend arrived there at around 7pm and it wasn’t very crowded(for Wan Chai, at that time, I would have thought it’d be). The rest of the crew was waiting at the other side of the bar — from the entrance it looks a lot smaller than it actually is, and this area we were siting at had a few tables and even a bar, which wasn’t opened tonight(I don’t know if they ever open it?). We had a look at the drinks menu, which is carefully designed in a retro style, but not well preserved(the paper was all falling apart and initially, we only got one part of the menu, which was confusing!). I had the house merlot, at 48HKD, and I think was really good. The only problem was that the drinks came late and at different times for each of us. The waiter had no idea which drink he was serving but he apologized a few times. The staff is actually very friendly, especially the owner, who introduced herself to our table. In fact, the atmosphere in Tai Lung Fung is great, it’s a good mix of both locals and expats and it’s lively but not too loud. It’s really cozy there and the decoration is a big plus to this place. Some of my friends ordered food(a bagel and a tiny hamburguer) and they were good as a snack(a little pricey though). It’s probably the atmosphere that got me, I loved the space and the vibe, and I’m definitely coming back!

Tai lung fun is the perfect neighborhood bar. It’s not crowded with cheesy decorations, partygoers, or tourists. They have a selection of drinks that include both classic, and one of a kind concoctions. All of their drinks are made with a kick. My husband is making his way through the classic menu and has had the old fashioned, gin fizz, and whiskey sour. These drinks are nothing fancy, but made very well. I’ve had the more unique selection of drinks including the Drew berries, tropical haa, and mojito. The mojito is minty, flavorful and done just right. The tropical haa is my favorite thus far. It’s a strong fruity drink and makes me feel like I’m on vacation. When I was about halfway finished with it, I started to wonder how many shot were in the drink. It has lychee and cucumber, and is perfect for a hot summer day. The Drew berries is delicious, but a bit too sweet for my taste buds. The service is nice here as well. While sitting inside for a drink, we decided to have another, but we wanted to go outside because it was such a nice day. After being out for a bit, I began to get attacked by mosquitos, and decided then decided to move back inside. The waitress was courteous and didn’t seem to mind us moving around a bit.
Tai Lung Fung has a small food menu if you want a bite to eat while enjoying your beverage. This is a casual, chill bar and a great place when you’re in the mood for a drink done right.
