Sincere Alterations

Having trousers taken up is not something I generally have to bother with –especially in Hong Kong — but Mango had obviously gone with a very long leg this season and I was tripping over the legs every time I tried to walk anywhere (which, let’s face it, in Hong Kong is everywhere) so it was time to find a good alterations place.
One of my go-​tos is Sincere Alterations in Melbourne Plaza. The staff are efficient. They had me in my trousers and pinned up in next to no time (despite the baby strapped to my back). They took a good look at the fabric and told me what needed to happen to take the legs up — as opposed to what I thought should happen– and hey, they are the professionals, if I knew the best way to hem a pair of pants I’d be doing it myself! Five days and HKD70 later and my floaty wide legged black pants have a new lease of life, and I won’t risk breaking my neck when I next wear them out.
