Ever since the grand opening of V City and Century Gateway, it is crystal clear that our government has decided to make Tuen Mun become a tourists spot for our mainland comrade. Where is my favourite food court that I would spend hours with my friends there playing card games? Gone. Tuen Mun Plaza we once had is completely unrecognizable and we now have all kind of ‘new’ stuff. One of which is Shirokuma Curry. Located on the same floor where the Aeon Supermarket is, Shirokuma Curry is a Japanese restaurant that specializes Japanese curry. Personally, I do not like curry as much because it is either too spicy or flavourless when it is not spicy. Anyway, I still went inside with my friends to see what this was all about. I sort of love the cute design of having a bear’s paw printed on the table. The food are reasonably priced but I had a look at other’s order and realized the portion was quite big in fact. Since I normally do not eat much, I was rather pleased to see they offered a lite set that cost only HKD38 and that included cheese sausages, scrambled eggs, butter corn, fried chicken, curry and grape soda. After a while, the food arrived. I tried the curry at once and was rather surprised the curry was not spicy at all! And that was definitely a good thing for me. The cheese was very rich in flavor. However, the fried chicken was pre-cooked for sure and I hope they can work on that. Overall, this restaurant is a OK. And I might come back again one day.
