This little Thai place was hidden behind the Pok Oi hospital, and it can be hard to find unless you are a Yuen Long local(or uses Unilocal: P). Unlike most places in Hong Kong, this restaurant actually has plenty of free parking for its customer. Décor was very well done for a place in this part of town. We got some meat kabob and samosa for starter, and some mango slush. The kabob had option to mix and match, and we mixed chicken and beef, both were quite decent, but the sauce was a bit too sweet. Samosa was pretty good, and the sauce had the right balance. The slush was just like any slush you can get, but it came in a pretty cup. For main course, we got some pork belly fried rice and spicy lamb curry. The rice was just ok, it came to the table a bit cold, and you know cold fried rice usually do not end well. The curry was actually decent, not very spicy, but it tasted good overall. Sawadee Thai… their Chinese name just says«Thai House», I suppose it was a good place to grab some decent Thai food nearby where we stayed, and probably the closest location if you have relative staying at Pok Oi overnight aside from the hospital food. Service was above average for Hong Kong standard.
