I had just returned from vacation and was very jet lagged and out of it. My husband woke me up at 3:00 in the afternoon and asked me if I wanted to join him for yoga. Of course I wanted to join him, but I really didn’t feel like joining him right now. I resisted the urge to roll back over and we headed to Causeway Bay.
When walking into the studio, I thought I had entered a spa. There were lots of women hanging out int the lobby area in wicker chairs with towels. It was a very lounge feel with soft music playing in the background and it was stinky although I have to admit it didn’t smell ass bad as other hot yoga studios I’ve been in.
My husband and I signed in and we were given a mini tour before our class. As we went downstairs there was a large studio with women doing what looked like dead lifts. This got me really excited because I would love to join a yoga studio that has other options. There are also desktop computers available for use in the basement. Near the locker room, there was a pretty intense spinning class going on and I was just thinking about purchasing a pair of biking shorts so I could do it right in the future.
The hot yoga session was pretty amazing. The instructor was clear and even gave warnings when you needed to take caution if you have bad shoulders or knees. I fall in the latter category, so I was very appreciative of these warnings. Coming in as beginner, I felt pretty comfortable and didn’t feel like I needed to push myself too hard.
This is like a dream gym, there are all sorts if classes, and it’s mainly full of women! I would love to return to this studio, but the price was a bit steep. I plan on visiting other studios to find the right fit for my pocketbook
