If you’re looking for a POSITIVE review, look no further! My friends and I(a group of 14) came on a Saturday night, and we only waited 15 minutes to be seated. Monster Sushi had a table that could seat us all, and gave each individual a menu to order from. I ordered the fatty salmon sashimi, fatty swordfish sushi, mango salmon roll topped with foie gras, the godzilla roll, and the seared salmon sushi with black truffle sauce. My personal two favorites were the fatty salmon sashimi and seared salmon with black truffle sauce! The fatty salmon was simply fresh and juicy — as expected of the highest level sashimi. The seared salmon with black truffle sauce was quite mindblowing — the slightly seared texture and flavor of the salmon coalesced perfectly with the black truffle sauce, giving the piece a smooth and undeniably flavorful finish. It melted in my mouth, and was so good I ordered a second serving of it. 10⁄10 recommend it — only $ 24HKD for two pieces! Because we went on a Saturday, service was not at max efficiency, and sometimes we had to call our waiters several times to re-order/get refills. Nonetheless, they gave us a $ 100 coupon at the end of the dinner — an incentive to come back.

Decent sushi for a decent price. The variety is good and they do some great specials. Easy to come here with a large group or by yourself. Mostly quick service and friendly staff.

This place has progressively gotten worse and worse through the years. This past weekend was the last straw. We were one of the first customers to come through and yet the manager felt it was necessary to have everyone sit like sardines next to each other. Even the other patrons were complaining about it as the restaurant was empty but the manager was empathetic. Strike 1. We ordered our food and when we tried to get the attention of any wait staff here, they pretended that they didnt see us and/or ignored us to the point where it was very uncomfortable feeling. Strike 2. Finally we were waiting for a long ass time for a final roll, and we had to ask 3 waitresses on the status. Finally the same damn manager lady came to us– after we explained to her what happened and that we were tired of waiting– just give us the check, she tried to sneak the order in still and asked for it to go. Lost in translation? Strike 3. Come here if you want mediocre sushi with the worst possible service while shady management makes shady decisions. I will never step foot at Monster Sushi again. I rather eat 7 – 11 sushi. Terrible.

It sells its prime location in all the convenient malls and of course, Dan Wu is the partner for the group. Talking about the cuisine, it is innovative while remain all the essence of sushi. This place favors wired combination of fish for sushi and rolls. It is about that extra or that fire mixed with water. A few signature sushi is rich but can be too rich for authentic Japanese style. Some appetizer like the pork belly is a guilty love, fatty and juicy. You cannot stop bitting the crispy. It is a safe play for budget sushi dinning, or some new friends. Just tell then Dan Wu owns the place, your friend will follow with no further question.

Great sushi and broad variety. This place is in a nice mall and features table seating as well as conveyor bar seating. There are multiple pages of selections including sushi, sashimi and some cooked foods. Rolls are two or four piece so order a range of dishes. Service was very fast. Tuna was top tier and the yellowtail was some of the best I’ve ever had. The salmon hand roll was spicy and had a unique and excellent flavor. I’m looking forward to a return to try other options.
