Portions are pretty small but so good. Michelin star rated. You’re offered hot tea at the table. Our group mainly ordered the beef brisket and wonton noodle soups and one of the set meals. The beef brisket is absolutely yummy and shrimp wontons were filled goodness. The broth is a little greasy but tasty enough to where you don’t have to add any additional seasonings. Add a set meal to share to get a little fuller. Again, portions are small but so good.

The portions were really small. Like the size of a rice bowl for the won ton noodle soup. I didn’t think it was anything out of the ordinary. I had better won ton noodle at Café De Corral. The service was good though.

Meh. Kind a like stale top Ramen with mystery condiments… Don’t see the appeal

We really wanted to try this place when we passed by and read on the windows that this was a Michelin star awarded restaurant. We should have known better, because after finishing our meals we felt like this was just another tourist trap. The noodles were ok, but the dishes did not taste extraordinary. The portions were ridiculously small and thus expensive for the amount you get. My nephews, who are locals and brought us to The Peak for sightseeing, got all cranky through dinner and went to get a burger afterwards to fill their stomachs. The atmosphere is casual. The service is genuinely Chinese, which is efficient, fast and no smiles, which doesn’t bother me much, as long as I get my food on my table fast.

Mak’s noodle has a long tradition in Hong Kong. There are now several outlets in Hong Kong. They are famous for their wonton, noodle, beef brisket and tendon. Casual place, efficient service, nothing fancy. Food is very good, noodles al dente, the wonton are fresh, mainly made with shrimp. As this outlet is on the Peak, it’s rather touristy. It’s not cheap as the portions are quite small. You may eat a second bowl at least. Try the outlet on wellington street which is the first one.

My wife and I grabbed a snack here on our way to visit the Peak. I got the beef brisket noodle soup and my wife got the wonton noodle. Broth, noodle and meat was made really well. I recommend eating here if you are up at the peak.
