Ambiance/décor-3 Service-2 Food-2 Strikeouts-2/3 Went on Christmas Day and came out disappointed. Booked a room, they called to ask for CC info, which I emailed them already just minutes after they sent the paperwork. This is just being lazy and my checking their emails. Another strikeout is when we got there, they gave us a round Chinese traditional table opposed to a western style seating. Both really disappointing as we were there for high tea. Obviously everywhere else was nice looking, it was a fancy hotel after all, but this place was not friendly for disabled people. There was no elevator to the restaurant. In fact there were only stairs and an escalator. I have no idea how they planned to get people in wheel chairs in there. Bad design/planning. The food was overall just disappointing overall. It was $ 100hkd more expensive than the standard afternoon tea menu, but it looked much worse in every way. The sausage wrap literally is the worse dish. I can make this blind folded costing less than $ 7.00 hkd. Just sad. There was not only nothing to say that was good, but I can actually say some of desserts were strange as hell. It’s not an acquired taste. I’ve looked at other tables when I went to the washroom, and many people did not even finish half their tray. We ordered 5, and I regret all 5. Only thing good about it was the decoration layout. I was so disappointed I couldn’t eat the Santa… The apple macaroon was so bad, a president’s choice cracker is considered better. Couldn’t even tell it was Apple, it was just jam. So much more I could complain about food wise, but I just want to say, STAY far away from this place for afternoon tea during holiday seasons. Seems like they would do wacky things, and this was not done well at all.

A convenient bar a few floors down from the hotel room. Dude, potent cocktail. Ridic. Staff? Good. They were setting up for the next day. Around closing time indeed. Enjoyed. Do visit if you’re staying in the hotel.
