This is probably the last time I book a room at Kowloon hotel. The room reminds of Treasure Island in Las Vegas. The carpet is dirty and everything inside is outdated. If you want people to come? Make it convenient for travelers! Not a lot of plugs for my cell phone and other electrical devices. The bathroom is dirty. Ewww! Only one positive thing? It’s close to the MTR station! That’s it! The toilet had a yellow stain! I flushed it several times and the stain still appears?

There are some reviews on the size of the room. I will say it’s not very big. But for me it’s ok. I can have my 2 big luggage a open fully on the floor and some view of the harbour. It’s rather clean except that I feel it’s a bit dusty as I kept coughing and sneezing. Other than that, it’s relatively clean. The toilet is a bit dated as most modern hotels won’t have a bathtub that’s of no use to me and shower curtain which is an yikes factor for me as I hate shower curtains given the fact that they won’t change the shower curtains with every check in. I’m sure you get my drift. I will prefer the modern hotel with shower screen and no tub. Climbing in and out of the tub can be hazardous! The carpet is quite clean except for a few stains. The room cleaning is quite good and clean except that even when I put do not disturb they still come in and clean the room. So not sure if the do not disturb light means anything. For transportation wise, it’s very convenient as the lobby is link to tst mtr. We hardly will get in the sun or rain when we have to move around. So if you ain’t a fussy pot traveller who prefers convenient to public transport you won’t mind staying here.

I stayed at this hotel a few years back. Compared to a couple of other hotels I stayed at nearby in Tsim Sha Tsui and Jordan, I think the rooms are rather small. In fact, their room size(or lack of) seems to be its reputation, and it’s pricier. Even my travel agent doesn’t recommend this place. A friend of mine think it’s great for its convenient location, but«convenience» is relative depending on where you like to go. It is close to Star Ferry and the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront promenade, but farther from other parts I like going to such as the Temple Street Night Market.

Very clean and well presented and have friendly staff. Big fan of the complimentary bottled water — Haven’t seen that anywhere else. The only downside is the rooms are very tiny. I couldn’t open my suitcase flat on the floor so had to do so across my bed. I wouldn’t suggest staying here for more than one night — especially if you are a couple.

A very old hotel, I was given a tiny room that was lacking even the usual foldable stool to place the suitcase to unpack. Tiny wardrobe, bath with shower and plastic curtain, terrible noise coming from Nathan Road(because of the 1980 insulation), but above all… 140HK$ for 1 day internet connection! In 2014 where you can get it free even at the grocery store they charged me to use their extremely slow wifi. This is where I felt ripped off, because tiny rooms in HK are a reality sometimes, but paid internet is really rare these days… Will not come back.

Lots of people don’t seem to know where Kowloon hotel is for some reason. It is so easy to find, it is situated right behind the most iconic hotel in HK, right behind the Peninsula. I came here briefly for a site visit and found that the facilities and hotel are exceptionally nice. The hotel room are what you expect from a hk-sized hotel room, a bit small, however the rooms are clean and well-equipped. The feeling of this hotel are very business traveler focused. They have a desk with charging stations. The room I was in was overlooking victoria harbour, with a bit of peninsula. It was a surprisingly nice view. The hotel itself has two restaurants, one chinese restaurant and the other is a buffet. There is a bar in between to divide the two — I think they have a live band sometimes too. On the ground floor, they have a coffee shop. It’s interesting how the hotel is laid out, apparently from the hotel side, you can go directly to the shopping mall via an underground shortcut. It also connects directly to the mtr. I can envisage that it would be pretty great when it’s down pouring outside like how hk occasionally does. The hotel service staff were very accommodating and friendly. The door man even spoke japanese! Quite impressive in my opinion.
