Hysan Place

This is definitely a great mall. I come in every time I visit Hong Kong. Some of the show you can definitely get in the US as well, such as the Apple Store or Hollister, but others are upscale local brands and they have some pretty good merchandise. Also from he 10h floor up you get a pretty good plethora of local restaurants most of which (at least all the ones I went to) have pretty good food and service. Outside the mall on all 4 sides you get a really good array of Hong Kong shops in the typical local scenery. Definitely recommended.

Hysan Place is probably one of the best malls in CWB for window shopping or just to hang out.
The stores though on the higher end but window shopping at higher end store can be quite pleasant as who really want to window shop at Walmart? And Eslite always fun to browse around.
I love the seasonal decorations and theme marketing promotion. A little on the commercial side but in a fun way.

Huge collection of upscale stores in Causeway Bay. Definitely not as crowded as Times Square, although still as touristy. There are always gorgeous, well-​maintained seasonal displays in their lobby.
The actual mall is around 10 floors I believe with the top few floors consisting of a large bookstore and a floor for a food court and a few individual restaurants. Food up there is expensive, even when compared to elevator Causeway Bay prices. The quality of the food court food, is nothing special, however I have tried the Japanese restaurant up there, and the quality of food, and ambiance/​environment and view is well worth the price you pay for the meal.
The selection of stores here are essentially the ones you would see in a typical mall plus a few unique and niche ones — there’s a fresh press juice stall, SuperDry, Accessorize, Apple, and an entire floor with shoe stores including JipiJapa. Would come back if I’m doing some window-​shopping or looking for a unique and high quality product.

There was just too much to see and too little time!

It’s actually pretty underwhelming, considering that it took years (including the very unfortunate accident) to rebuild the building in the heart of Causeway Bay.
Now do you remember the old Mitsukoshi (三越)? Right, me neither. It was at the best location in Causeway Bay, and arguably the best location in HK or even the top 5 location in the world to have a shopping mall. But it’s just so out of fashion no one wants to come close to it.
Now it reopened. Pretty clever with the entrances at both the front and the back. And God, who doesn’t like an Apple Store deciding to sit in your mall.
But that is it. No cinemas, no Karaōke boxes, no big brands, nothing really makes you really think, «Oh I should go to Hysan Place to check it out.» Eslite is good, but since it’s not opening 24/​7, it kinda lost its charm.
There are a few restaurants up there, but again, most of them don’t live up to the full potential to have an amazing view of Causeway Bay, or a rooftop bar. Yeah Hysan got a public podium garden. I’ve never been there and never know how to access it. *sad face*

Um… can I just say that I absolutely love that the malls in Hong Kong have random displays? AVENGERS FTW! Yeah. Huge display of Hulk VS Iron Man outside the mall. Cap, Thor, Iron Man and Hulk inside. Ultron above. Try to pull out Mjolnir a la Sword in the Stone to win an Age of Ultron poster. Yeah. I failed. S’okay though. I got pictures with all those figures. =D

very helpful concierge, they will even help you check the internet for whatever your looking for. free wifi from the apple store and it’s pretty steady. They even have a supermarket downstairs somewhat like citysuper, but way inexpensive and more selections & not to mention the urban bakery!

Never a big fan of this mall despite their interesting portfolio of stores and restaurants. The elevator system is confusing and the mall layout is like a maze. But that could also be because of my bad sense of direction.
If one were to be able to navigate through the messy floorplan, you will be rewarded with the discovery of many unique brands and restaurants that are otherwise not seen in Hong Kong.
In addition to the smaller unique labels, anchoring stores such as Eslite Books, the Gap and Apple Store ensure traffic of this centrally located mall to be an all time high.
Bottomline: Eslite books, Joyce Beauty, level 8 that sells everything girly

Hysan Place is one of the newer malls in HK, built just a couple of years back. It has a prime location in Causeway Bay — it’s right between two of the major malls, Sogo and Times Square. It’s one of the few malls with two entrances that are at least a few minutes’ walk apart: one entrance is across Forever 21 and the other is opposite Sogo. This is one of my favorite things about Hysan Place because it makes it so much more accessible. In the gruesome heat that we call Hong Kong summers, this is especially nice as it means less time spent out under the sun and more time in the lovely air conditioning!
As for shopping, there actually aren’t many stores of interest to me, besides maybe Hollister (when they’re on sale) and 6ixty 8ight. There are a couple of good restaurants at Hysan though — my personal favorite is the ramen at Baikoken, down on the second basement floor where Jason’s supermarket is. It’s a little expensive for its portion, but that’s some of the best ramen I’ve ever tasted! I also like The Dining Room, a Shanghainese restaurant that’s decked out in a contrastingly modern and western way. Shiro, another Japanese restaurant up on the 13^th floor, is not bad as well. If not, there’s always the food court ‘Kitchen Eleven’! I normally head straight to the Pepper Lunch counter when I’m there, or to Triple O’s.
Another thing about Hysan Place worth mentioning might be a little surprising, but it’s the toilets. The restrooms here are so amazingly clean and almost never crowded, because there’s almost one on every floor! The one on the sixth floor is particularly impressive. It looks like something out of a five-​star hotel, with its huge, rather artistic sink in the middle!
Hysan Place is conveniently connected to the MTR — no need to leave the station to come into the mall. It’s a less upscale mall compared to Sogo and Times Square in my opinion, and has better restaurant offerings too!
