Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Tsim Sha Tsui

Excellent hotel. Very clean, cold AC in the room, free phone with wifi to use during your stay in Hong Kong, great location. Very good breakfast buffet $ 140 per person if you are a hotel guest.

We stayed here for two nights during our short trip to Hong Kong. The location is very convenient. There’s a MTR station right outside the hotel and also many shops and restaurants within walking distance. We took a taxi from the airport and it only cost about $ 40 one way. Customer service here was really good (not sure if this is the norm for Asian countries or just for Hyatt’s??) and they also gave us a free upgrade for our room. We didn’t have any time to use their amenities but I did see the pool and hot tub from the view of our hotel room. They also have a free smartphone that you can use during your stay – pretty cool and convenient if you don’t have a smartphone with data in the country. Overall, would definitely recommend :)

Pretty nice. The room was well-​appointed and modern for a Regency (far better than the Regency in Tokyo) and the location was great.

Nice place, great location. They give you a free Handy android phone to use on your trip. No more missing sights because you got lost without a data connection abroad.

Outdoor pool and whirlpool. Didn’t use — but observed from above the people laying out were covering themselves because of the wind. which in a big part is due to design of building and pool deck. Separate men and women’s locker rooms each with a steam room (no sauna). If you have kids they gave a playground on the pool level on the opposite side of the building (there are upscale residences in the upper floors of the building that share the pool and facilities).
No USB on TV for charging devices but they included a power converter in room for an extra way to charge devices. Weird lighting controls – if you need to use bathroom overnight turn on the vanity mirror as nightlight instead of walking to door and fumbling to figure out which switch is for bathroom. Despite being a hugely tall building no upstairs lounge or bar. The music /​tv piped into bathroom with volume control is a nice touch. Really nice rain shower with fantastic pressure.
The subway stop is directly outside the lobby door. If you’re traveling with two people to airport other options are cheaper or similar. UberX to airport is around $ 30 USD with no surge though at peak in the morning we had to wait 15 minutes for the 2.6x surge to go to 0. Über black would be around $ 50 USD but less likely to have surge pricing we found. The A21 airport bus is also very close and would be the cheapest option – we used that last time and it is a pretty decent option which also has free wifi on board. The stops go along the nearby street to the north and after a bit of stops it goes express the rest.

There’s nothing you can dislike about this Hyatt Regency. The standard King room comes with what you expect, a king size bed.
The additional perks that you don’t expect from a typical stay is an automatic sink, a huge shower, unlimited bottled water (you can get them from the fitness center), ²⁴⁄₇ fitness center, and a smart phone. Yes, a smart phone! You can use this smart phone to make unlimited local calls and carry it around town as a hotspot for your own devices. Definitely very convenient to have.
Everything is within walking proximity to this hotel, 3 7 – 11 just right around the block and food places. For our first night in town, we were a bit jet lagged and there were food places opened at 2:00am. And upon checking their hours, they also open early! McDonald’s is also ²⁴⁄₇ and only a block away. Right across the street is the Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station.
If and when I come back to Hong Kong, this will definitely be my hotel of choice.

We just stayed here during Chinese New Year. What an awesome hotel. Their staff is very super friendly. They remember you by names and are so attentive and super helpful. We arrived super early like 7AM and even though check in time is at 2PM, they were able to give us a temporary room until our «room» was ready to be checked in.
Location wise, you can’t beat this location, it is situated in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, walking distance to all the great restaurants and malls. 5 min walks to the Harbor and 10 minutes walk to Hong Kong Culture Center where we saw the 3D Pulse Light Show.
It also has direct access to 2 MTR subways. We are extremely satisfied with our stay here and will come back to stay here again for sure.

Good enough hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful but frankly there’s little to no view to speak of outside of the ones offered by the suites and the rooms are definitely on the smaller side. A good hotel option if you’re on the Kowloon side though.

One of my favorite Hyatts in the whole brand, and it’s «only» a Regency. The standard rooms here are phenomenal, especially if you get a high-​level harbor-​view room.
Our favorite feature is the bathroom, which is a good compromise of privacy and completely exposed that a lot of Asian hotels seem to have. The mirror behind the sink actually is a sliding door that can open to give you a view of the bed and window, but closes securely if you’re traveling with people you’d rather not see do their dirty business. The bathroom itself is roomy, even though the toilet and shower wasn’t separated from the vanity area. The living area itself is also roomy, very wide by Asian standards, and with enough room for a king bed and couch.
The room also comes with a smartphone for your use during your stay. Great for those who don’t have a phone with data in HK; it features free phone calls and WiFi hotspot. I just took ours, turned on the hotspot, and my wife and I accessed the web using our own phones while the Hyatt phone stayed securely in my bag. Wherever we walked, we had Internet access with us!
The Regency Club is definitely one of the best, with a spectacular view, hearty breakfast, and nice canapes for their evening reception; I’m a sucker for fresh-​squeezed OJ, and it was available here all day (open 7am-​11pm most days).
The staff here is awesome, they know how to go out of their way to make your stay comfy and memorable. The hotel itself is centrally located, attached to the K11 mall and accessible through the concourse between the Tsim Sha Tsui and East TST MTR stations.
(Note: While the directional signs say this hotel can be accessed by the N3 exit of the MTR station, the N2 exit was much less walking and navigating to get to the Hyatt. Plus, N3 leads into the mall, which is closed after 11pm.)
Also easily accessed from the Kowloon Airport Express station via free shuttle bus that runs every 20 minutes or so, making a circuit loop at various hotels. The Hyatt Regency is the 2^nd stop on the K3 shuttle bus line.

What an awesome hotel! Beautiful and extremely clean rooms, nice modern looking bathrooms, great view of Hong Kong, extremely friendly staff, and best of all– the best breakfast buffet I’ve ever had at a hotel!
The breakfast had everything you can think of! American and local cuisine. About a dozen different types of fresh juice, omlette bar, fried rice, dumplings, pastries, cereal, fruit, etc.
I was very satisfied with my stay here and made an overwhelming first time trip to Hong Kong feel easy.

Love this hotel, hands down.
Great location atop the TST and East TST MTR stations. Only one stop to Hong Kong from Kowloon. Can enter the MTR directly from the hotel entrance without leaving the aircon. Spend any time in SE Asia during the summer and you know how great that is. They also have an outdoor pool and hot tub on the 9^th floor.
Staff were extremely nice and accommodated me when they couldn’t honor my early check-​in. Logged me into their fast internet access while I waited. Offered to call me on my US mobile when the room was ready.
Free, multi-​lingual Android mobile phone with 4G internet access and hotspot just waiting for you. Totally free, in your room, on the desk, take at your will. Had all sorts of location data and suggestions on where to go and what to do, plus free international calls to US, Australia, China, and more. There were ads and sponsored content, but you could login to your google accounts, use google maps and other non-​sponsored apps that were even pre-​installed. I was flabbergasted and skeptical at not having a fee to use the thing, but there really was no charge on my bill.

this is my 2^nd stay at this hyatt facility. i was here in jan 2013 for a 2 wk visit. enjoyed that visit that i decided to stay again for this vacay.
the hotel is unique from othr hyatt properties ive stayed at. how many rooms haf a wall open up from the bedrm to the bathrm or bathrm into the main closet for that matter? 2 bottles of water are complimentary n can b replenished daily. a nice perk different from 2015 from 2013– free smartphone loaner.

Great buffet with a friendly staff! The desserts are divine!

first visit was fantastic, great service, attention to detail, super clubroom, view to die for. second visit we didnt think it would get any better but it did with an upgrade to a room that i could only imagine alexis carrington would use when she would fly over to sign the deeds for the south china sea rigs.
i suggest you dont eat for a few days and then go make a reservation for their buffet. i am a big fan of a buffet especially one that has 5 different chef stations with 5 different themes. Im going back to stay again next visit

Like many other places in Hong Kong that’s short on space, the drive up to the Hyatt is not impressive. You’re basically below ground (B3, to be exact), and there are no markers as to where private cars, airport shuttles and taxis can congregate. The drive up is a myriad of twisted road. The «formal» entrance to the hotel — on Hanoi road — is also confusing. Blink an eye or bat an eyelash, then you would’ve passed the «main entrance» and end up in a hot dog/​yogurt shop. The actual entrance is flanked by a flower shop. The hotel is also accessible through the K11 mall, although that’s discreet, too. Basically, if you even find the entrance, give yourself one gold star. (Though the gold star hardly offsets the thousands of HKD you would have already shelled out for a room at this place.)
Once you find the elevators and go up to the Lobby level, the fun doesn’t stop. You’re immediately met by the buffet restaurant and Hugo’s. The front desk doesn’t even start till you make a right turn. It’s as if the Hyatt TST is an exclusive club that doesn’t want anyone to find it, but once you do, they act as if you’re the best thing to happen since hot dogs and yogurt.
The check in process was a little tedious, but I’ve found that with most hotels in Hong Kong. Despite having pre-​paid and filled out our information online, it still took a while for the front desk clerk to get all of our information in the system. We were also given an upsell for a harbor view room (HKD400 or so more).
Because we refused the upsell and had purchased our tickets through a discount website, we were given a room right across from the elevators… although a room across from an elevator in the Hyatt is still a thousand times better than any hovel you will call a «home».
Noticeably different is the larger-​sized rooms of the Hyatt, compared to other hotels. We had a two double beds, which were «Chinese double sized», but very comfortable. The mini bar was well stocked with tiny bottles of booze starting at HKD75. Drinking water was everywhere and FREE… though if you consider how much you pay for a room here, you’d expect to be owning shares of the water company.
The bathroom is mightily impressive, with a separate tub and shower (with a rainshower head). They also don’t skimp on the freebies of shower gel, shampoo, and so on — and a little list in the bathroom tells you exactly which items are FREE and which are NOT. (The waiter style wine bottle opener, BTW, is FREE.)
Despite not having a harbor view, our room had a great view of the large swimming pool and jacuzzi. The pool didn’t appear to be very deep, but there was a lifeguard on duty at all times, whenever there was someone in the water.
Hotel staff was attentive, but not overly smarmy. Despite its price the hotel was packed with guests, probably due to its great proximity to all things in TST. A wonderful alternative to being frugal and eating your noodles from a cup… except, after a night here, that’s pretty much what I have to look forward to for the next month.

This hotel is incredibly positioned in the heart of the teeming Tsimshatsui tourist shopping district. It is on top of the K11 mall. Lot’s of shops and all kinds of restaurants are on the lower floors. The shops here are nicer, but the shops just outside the street have more goods crammed to the ceilings:-)
Hotel service, room size/​appointment are all right up to Hyatt standards. And they do remember your preferences, not all hotels do. Excellent location with mtr almost at the door. Going to Central or Mongkok is a cinch.
The Café, Hugo’s restaurant and Chinnery Bar each has a time tested formula rooted in the old Hyatt Regency long before this one. Quality is consistent. Evening minstrel at Hugo’s, singer at Chinnery. I do have curiousity about the 15′ high mirror standing against the wall in the lobby. Been there since day one, and very useful really. Is it going to always stand on the floor heh heh?
Fine hotel for relaxing at the end of the day. Quality has been consistent over the years.

There is absolutely nothing to say against the Hyatt Regency Hong Kong.
It´s perfectly located in Kowloon in a very impressive high-​rise (even for Hong Kong standards).
Service is friendly, efficient and welcoming (something you might not always experience if you happen to travel with a same-​sex partner).
I love the suites in this hotel! The design follows the slightly bent shape of the building which makes for relatively narrow but long rooms. Your bed is basically facing a whole wall of windows which makes the TV obsolete. I actually prefer the rooms facing away from the harbour as you really get a fully immersive «Blade Runner”-vibe some 400ft above Kowloon.
The breakfast in the ground-​floor restaurant is absolutely amazing and one of the best I had anywhere. The variety and quality of local and international food is just stunning.
There is also a VIP-​lounge which I found a bit of a let-​down. Apart from the great views, it offers pretty unflattering lighting and the usual free snacks and beverages for the freeloaders… but that might explain it´s bland interior.

Came for 3 nights for the second time in 2 years — due to location. It is literally right in the heart of TST with the MTR downstairs. As Diamonds we were upgraded to a suite facing Victoria Harbor, although we weren’t high enough to be looking at much — it was still nice. they whisked us up into the lounge for check in and the food at the lounge here is definitely not as good as GH across the way. This property isn’t as swanky but still very nice and the location is its selling point. 7-​eleven downstairs for anytime snack/​drinks if necessary and a few cha chan tangs around that close pretty late. Would def come back the next time in HK. You can take the airport express to Kowloon station and either take the free hotel shuttle but that may take a while — K3 bus. Or you can cab from kowloon to the hotel from Kowloon station.

The Hyatt Regency in located in the Kowloon side of the city and is in one of the best spots in town to be in. It’s convenient location is reason enough to stay here, but the rooms aren’t too shabby and the staff are really friendly which just add to the experience.
It’s rooms aren’t the largest by any means, but you have to remember that you are in Asia and rooms are generally smaller unless you stay at a western style chain. That being said they are well laid out and tastefully appointed. It was comfortable and the housekeeping staff kept it very clean and orderly during our stay. While the hotel occupies the lower floors of this sky-​high tower, it still has some great views of the surrounding neighborhood.
Service was stellar and the staff incredibly pleasant. They checked us in quickly and got us up to our room, they made up and kept our rooms neat and tidy, and even provided local recommendations that made us feel like we were local, not tourists.
It’s location is the right spot to visit the entire city from. Especially if you don’t mind taking the subway since it is right above one of the largest (if not the largest) station in the MTR system. It literally sits right above the Tsim Tsa Tsui station which connects to all aspects of the city. It’s also a short walk from the waterfront and a short ferry or subway ride to the Hong Kong side of the city.
When it comes to experiencing the city, the Hyatt Regency Hong Kong definitely was a nice home base to fall asleep and replenish my energy!

Stayed here about a year ago. Got a great room with club level access on points. You get free breakfast and afternoon snack in the club lounge which has spectacular harbor views.
Rooms here were very clean and modern. Service was top notch in the club level with restaurant reservation hep and even helping me make arrangements with my grandma!
Great location with easy access to shopping, restaurants, and the MTR.
