too much focus on their michelin star. doesn’t matter! if you’ve been to many airports you will know that the food is either crap, or expensive, or both crap and expensive. options aren’t high and expectations are usually low. the pricing here is very reasonable! and you get GOOSE! maybe people always find something to be unhappy about. i think getting a pretty good meal for as much as mcdonalds would cost you at an airport is really awesome.

Although this place has a Michelin star for 3 consecutive years, I personally think this place is overrated. Don’t get me wrong, the food is OK, but not sure it deserves the Michelin star good as there are other places that are better. Ordered a portion of their famous soy poached(Lo Shui) Goose. I found it to be quite fatty as compared to what I normally get at other restaurants of the same nature. To accompany this, I ordered the«Chua Lam’s mixed noodles» that comes with a soup. This noodles is basically thin egg noodles that is tossed with XO sauce and mixed with bean sprouts and scallions. Soup was tasty and don’t think there was any or at least very minimal MSG, as I did not feel thirsty after drinking it. Worth giving this place a try if you have not been here before.

Food is ok, that’s all to it. Stick to goose, skip the noodles and seafood. No idea who gave this place an M star.

Should we eat here or should we go back into Hong Kong to eat? That’s a difficult question. I was never fond of airport food, coming from the US, the quality of airport food is ok. It’s just too expensive. Hearing that Hong Kong airport is one of the best airports in the world, I figure the food must be top notch. So we decided on Hung’s. This place is vegetarian and pescatarian friendly. I had: Spicy noodles — this was very flavorful and tasty, the plate is not large and can be finished by a teenager. This dish was a tad oily. Veggie duck — not as good as the real thing but this tasted very good with the right amount of sauce. The portion was medium size. Buddha’s delight in «lam yui sauce» — had an assortment of veggies and bean curd skin, this was done in a casserole style and tasted quite refreshing. Can’t comment on other dishes because I was the only pescatarian. The prices were a little on the high end but the food did taste good. Service was quite good, keep in mind it is a Michelin rated restaurant.

As our last snack in Hong Kong, my dad chose Hung’s Delicacies, a Michelin-starred eatery inside the international airport. We selected a roasted goose, pork shank & tofu plate, choy sum, congee and soup. The goose was roasted to perfection. The meat was juicy & tender!
