As my colleague and I were wandering around looking for a place to fill our empty stomach, we came across this place — Home-made Cuisine. Who does not like their mum’s cooking to be honest? Especially when I am about to leave Hong Kong, I am so going to miss it. As this place compares itself to everyone’s home-made food, I had to go check this out. As I was reading the menu, I could not help but notice that there was no service charge here!(Sorry to sound a bit frugal here) Anyways, the food here are fairly cheap and reasonable. Around fifty dollars you can get a full meal already. As for the food, they are Chinese food of course. It does serve quite a lot of dishes that can be found in the Cha Chang Tang nearby. I ordered Singapore Fried noodles(which are very Hong Kong styled though you can find«Singapore» in its name. Normally for a dish like that, you will be lucky enough if you do not find oil dripping at the bottom of the plate, that is why I was super surprised not to find the noodles too oily. As a matter of fact, this was the first time I did not beat myself up for ordering food that makes my mouth greasy and make me fat — Thank God! Frankly, the food here is so-so but it is definitely worthy of every penny given how cheap the food this place serves. I am definitely coming back next time. We all need places like this to feel like home — and by that, I mean, just like eating in not spending too much.
