Huge varieties of pastas, drinks, soups, sandwiches, ya that’s quite all of it I went here one day with my colleagues, there’s not quite a lot of seats to sit, but it is very convenient to go to as it’s just near the Shang Wan MTR station. I ordered a lunch combo: carbonara pasta + iced cappuccino. The pasta is not fully cooked, so they are hard. The iced cappuccino is okay. Overall the price is average, a good place for a quick lunch, but the taste is not that impressive.

I am only reviewing the sandwich, not actual shop itself. Has a good variety of sandwiches. I usually get a sandwich from there since it is freshly pre-made in the morning. All you do is go to the rack and pick the ones you want. They also accept Octopus so it’s convenient for you. There are different pricing of sandwiches ranging from the ingredients they use. The sandwich comes with whole-grain and never soggy. The lettuce is crisp and has a ‘snap’ to it when you bite it.

If you’re in Sheung Wan area and looking for a quick, cheap eat, Grove Sandwiches must be your place. I used to work right around the corner from here and sometimes when I am frantically scrambling from one meeting to the next, this place makes things somewhat easier. Their sandwiches are cheaper than pret a manger, they can customise salads and sandwiches, which is something pret cannot do. They have a variety of fresh fruit, they have different size options. Not bad. But to be honest, if you are expecting the same food quality as pret, you may be somewhat disappointed. The bread is sometimes not super fresh, and the ingredients may not be as fresh as pret either. I guess you pay for what you get though, right? However, one thing I do appreciate, is that sometimes I want just a boiled egg or want to add an avocado to my salad, they make things easier by just adding $ 10 or something like that, and they will add it to your pre-made salad. I never actually sat down there, just because my office was close enough to grab and go, however I find their seating from what I saw, to be quite simple. Not much décor at all, and sometimes they have little fruit flies flying around the fridge. hmmmm. not my favourite. In terms of value, it’s cheap, so doesn’t hurt to try.
