Chose this because of its location and hoping to be a good place for ‘business’ discussion. The décor is nice and the place is spacious, as one would expect from a restaurant in the IFC Mall. However, I found the place was quite noisy and it was difficult to have a conversation when there is a group of people(we had six). The noise level was no less than most of other dim sum restaurant out there. Food quality was good, with both innovative twists as well as traditional dishes. The Spring Roll was crispy on the outside but juicy inside. There was«double prawn dumpling»: a large prawn dumpling with a small one filled with mustard; this was interesting. However, they were delays in serving a couple of dishes. The stirred fried vegetable did not arrive until we were about to leave.

Love this dim sum place in the IFC mall. They have a good selection of vegetarian items to choose from. Do make reservations as the place gets busy. The staff here is super friendly and unlike some dim sum places this place is spacious and clean. Highly recommend this place for anyone that likes dim sum. They have an awesome view to go with the food.

I have dined here a few times in the past and love the food and the fact that it isn’t overly crowded. Be sure to make reservations as we’ve tried to just walk in and have been turned away as it was fully booked. Not sure why another Unilocaler was told he couldn’t be seated until an exact time as we’ve shown up 20 – 30 mins prior to our reservation time and were escorted to our table right away. Try to be seated near the window for a nice view of the harbor. We typically order dim sum along with other dishes and have never been disappointed with anything we’ve ordered. Servers are very attentive and ensure our pot of tea is always full of hot water. This is a restaurant I always make an effort to dine at each and every time I visit Hong Kong. Will have to come for dinner next time.

This is a great restaurant. I booked for 7 people a few days in advance for a sunday noon lunch and was seated promptly. This is a good place for kids as there’s ample space between tables and my kid liked playing in the drapes. The things to try are: 1) suckling pig with foie gras and crispy rice — 4 large pieces, a bit pricey 2) regular suckling pig is also good, lots of skin 3) the fried eggplant — it doesn’t look like eggplant — it’s basically fried pieces Other dishes were competent, and refined.

Cuisine Cuisine is a Chinese fine dining experience based in the IFC Mall, which is OK, but a bit pretentious. Straight off the bat, you would be better going somewhere else«down market», with better food and friendlier service. First; the seating and booking arrangement is ridiculous. It is very possible to walk up, but they will only seat you at set times. I once arrived at 1.55pm, but was told that there would be nothing available until exactly 2.15pm. The restaurant was empty, and unless they were planning to fill and turn the seats in 20 mins, I couldn’t understand why we could not take a seat. As an experiment, I called another time to book a table, and was give the 2.15pm time slot. OK, fine, but when I turned up at 2.05pm, they would not seat me until exactly 2.15pm, even though the restaurant was again empty. Second; the food is mediocre at best. The photos in the menu(OK, I hear what you’re saying, don’t eat in places with photos in the menu!), have a plethora of fancy looking dishes, with swirls of jus and fried fluffy things on them, but the flavour doesn’t add up with the image. It’s all good looks, bland taste. Third; the service. Arghhhh, just not very competent. The big issue here, is that pork is not a vegetable, and«lap cheong» or dried pork sausage is, any guesses? Yep, not a vegetable. So, Cuisine Cuisine, please don’t feed Mrs L a pork sausage and tell it’s vegetarian. Not cool! To be fair, the managers did offer me another meal at another time, but I have since turned this down as they promote shark finning in this restaurant. If it gets stopped in HK, then I will consider coming back. If you are not a veggie, and need a dim sum fix in IFC Mall at exactly 2.15pm, then this is your best(and perhaps only) option. It is OK, the food is fine, just doesn’t taste as good as it looks, but still fine. The ambience, if you can fight your way through the non-existent crowds is pleasant, and if you keep tight lipped and just point at the pictures, you probably won’t have to engage with the staff, which is always good.
