June 17th is a very special day this year. I was here at Champs at 845am on this very day of 2015. It was my official birthday this particular day. NBA Finals Game 6 was on early in the morn here in HK. My boys from the Golden State, the Warriors, fought a great battle on the Mid West/East coast while I watched on the East side of the world. While Curry was already the league MVP, Iggy rightfully deserved the MVP award for the series after shutting down the best player in the world Lebron James. My home team was crowned champs of the NBA for the first time in 40 years as I watched at a bar called Champs… What are the odds? It was like they knew it was my birthday and purposely opened early to make sure it was extra special for me that I didn’t miss the my Warriors close out the Cavs and King James. Furthermore, for about $ 24USD, they made me feel right at home by serving me a huge American breakfast platter as I watched the game, fully equipped with all the essentials: 3 strips of bacon, 2 sausages, 2 brown sausage patties, 2 mini pancakes, 2 thick slices of grilled tomatoes, 2 sunny side eggs, and 2 fluffy toasts with orange juice, fresh fruits, and yogurt on the side. Their service at Champs was very accommodating. As the Warriors went in for the kill in its final minutes, someone incredibly special and important in my life showed up to celebrate the win and my birthday with me for the remainder of the hot humid Hong Kong day. Like I said in the very beginning… June 17th is a very special day this year.

This place has a great happy hour drinks menu. Buy one get one free. The staff are really friendly and know what the customer wants. The food is good, pizza not so much but most other dishes were good size and well priced. They have a heap of TVs showing live sport from all over the world and regular football nights.
