Catherine Bakery

Not so bad for a little local bakery… if this is your sort of thing.
No English spoken by the working staff, but let that not deter you. Enter, grab a tray and some tongs, buzz around and put your baked goods on your tray and take it to the counter. They will add it up and you pay… pay cash that is.
There is no English translation on the descriptive signs in front of the different baked goods, so it will be a surprise if you do not speak Chinese (like me!). But they are baked goods… even a wrong choice is a baked good, so how could you go wrong… right?
Items though were tasty and my husband (who is Chinese) likes this place better than the baked items being sold on the first floor of Fusion just a few doors down.

It’s a bit Seinfeld soup Nazi with the process of picking out your tasty pastry and paying, but sadly, they look better than they taste. Even though the place had been open for barely half an hour, they tasted… old. Not stale yet, but that it would be stale soon.
It’s fine if you’re looking for something fast (and marginally overpriced), but with a bit more walking around, you can probably find something fresher.
