Review for bar inside and next door to the actual restaurant; first come first served. Just a great spot for bottle of champagne and some thinly sliced french pork products. Sommelier came over from restaurant to spend good amount of time going over options for the wine. Elegant, tremendous views, quiet, private, one of the better spots in an awesome hotel.

You know a restaurant is amazing when the chef can make an ingredient you loathe taste kind of delicious. The temperature in the dining room can get a little nippy, but don’t let this discourage you from dressing like a whore. Upon request, the staff will appear with a rack of colorful cashmere shawls for you to drape over your scantily-clad body. The tasting menu will cost you a pretty penny. Since the prices are listed in HKD, my advice is to be unfamiliar with the exchange rate so you have no idea how much money you’re really spending. Ignorance is bliss.

Gourmet French dining at its best! Most of the dishes on the set lunch menu were excellent, although the lobster ravioli and the mango moose dessert were definitely my favorites. The ease of same day reservation(for weekday lunch in Central) was also a plus. Overall a well-deserved 2 star restaurant for their exceptional quality of food and service.

Really nice classy fine dining restaurant. Good for a date night, got the signature tasting menu, quite high price and worth it, amazing combination with all the material. Also super sweet service. Ask the assistant manage for a tour of kitchen and he took us in there and it was a really nice one. Worth to visit

Good view(not amazing vs Peninsula or RitzCarlton). Ambient & romantic atmosphere as expected from a fine dining restaurant. Food — very average. Yes it’s nice but not wow for the price. Compared to Mandarin Grill&Bar, Gaddis in Peninsula, Tetsuya in Sydney and Guy Savoy in Singapore, same price but dishes are far superior than here. Service — excellent … Attentive yet privacy is well respected. Overall — disappointing for $ they are charging. I’ll be wrong to give 3*

Caprice is the second Michelin three-star restaurant inside Four Seasons Hong Kong. We took in superb views of Victoria Harbour and Kowloon Peninsula while dining on excellent French cuisine. Amuse bouche included green olive & pine nut financiers, and cantaloupe sorbet with diced melon & miso mousse. As appetizer, we each started with a deconstructed langoustine raviolo. Lobster & veal sweetbreads were layered in between wonton wrappers, and sat on a bed of girolle & chanterelle mushrooms in shellfish bisque. For the entrees, my dad’s sea bass came with sun dried tomatoes, octopus, garlic & orecchiette in paëlla jus. My friend ordered the duck fillet, which was served aside garden vegetables, apple chutney, and a side of braised duck mashed potato. My pigeon feuilleté was rolled with foie gras & nori seaweed in flaky pastry shell. This was set against warm citrus vinaigrette and eggplant prepared three ways: raw, pureed & grilled. As a palate cleanser, we had green apple sorbet atop a crumble with blackcurrant & apple accents. We were also given a box of petits fours that included pear gâteau, orange ginger macaron, Irish coffee square, yuzu dark chocolate truffle, & coconut-hazelnut truffle. For our actual dessert, we ordered the Flower Garden(peach sorbet, kalamansi cream, pistachio crumble, strawberry & peach sorbet), and the Cuba Libre Soufflé(vanilla and cola soufflé, lime sorbet, popping rock candies). As a finale, we had complimentary vanilla bean madeleines, homemade marshmallow & caramel candies. The service was impeccable, as should every Michelin star restaurant. They don’t serve your food until everyone is seated and ready. Everyone’s entrees hit the table at the exact same millisecond. The views of the harbor were great.

A lot of people don’t know about this hidden gem located at the four seasons hotel in central. Most people are familiar with this michelin star restaurant Caprice but not so much their bar. It is situated right across from the restaurant and was recommended by a blogger friend to check it out. I am the ultimate cheese lover which is why I was recommended to come. I can eat cheese any time, any where. at the time, they were doing a cheese and wine tasting platter. I went just for that. So how it works is, basically you get 4 cheeses and 4 wines, I don’t remember how much if turned out to be, but pretty sure it was under $ 500. I was astonished at how reasonably priced it was. The waiter was so attentive and came over to explain every wine and cheese on the platter. He also have us tastings of other wines that would pair nicely with the cheeses. He was so generous with the pourings and was so passionate about it. The ambience is a little bit like an old man’s cigar bar but it was chill, big plush leather seats. We sat there all night. What a good night it was.

Caprice definitely has a very large reputation. With Michelin star ratings and it’s prestigious menu, you definitely are taking your taste buds on a wonderful treated journey when coming here. Caprice is located in the stunning Four Seasons hotel. It is a magnificent restaurant, five stars for the grandness and décor. Undeniably classy, with impeccable service and an astounding menu, I was very excited to dine at this restaurant. They have a super wine list, in which we took the advantage of and splurged a bit… had a 1996 Haut Brion I think if I remember correctly. The bottle was half the price of our dinner. It was a special occasion, normally this doesn’t happen. We were served a complimentary amuse bouche, which is a little bit expected at restaurants like these but it was marvellous. An egg with caviar and a stick of bread to help you scoop out. I loved it and immediately began my love affair with Caprice. It was love at first bite. I ordered a sole from Normandy, and also a Japanese wagyu for my mains. Both were amazing to say the least. Each mouthful danced around in my mouth, after I carefully dissected the beautifully plated dishes. Taking the moment to enjoy what was so wonderfully presented and delicately made along with a few sips of my delicious wine, it was totally an unforgettable experience. One immediately understands the spectacularness of a restaurant when service and food is presented and brought to you like Caprice does it. It really sets the bar :)

Adjacent to Caprice Restaurant in the four seasons hotel, is the Caprice Bar. This is a wonderful and intimate bar which serves a fantastic range of wines and cheeses. With amazing views overlooking Victoria Harbour, if you come early enough you may get to snag a seat by the window. The bar does not take reservations, so it is on a first come first serve basis. There is also a smart casual dress code. Most nights it’s very quiet, with small groups of post-work drinkers, and couples. However, there are occasionally large groups of office types who come here, and if they get rowdy the whole bar can become quite deafening. Caprice Bar is particularly known for its extensive selection of wines, and its cheese boards. With so many wines and cheeses to choose from, I always find myself asking the staff for their recommendations, based on my preferences. Its not a cheap place to enjoy wine and cheeses, with a cheese board of eight small pieces setting you back nearly HK$ 300. However, according to a French cheese expert friend of mine, their selection is the very best that the cheese-making world can offer. I believe the same can be said about their wines. I do, unfortunately, find myself needing to go to the kebab shop on the way home after cheese night, because the sharing portions are quite small. However, if you do decide to stop and eat there, expect to pay up to HK$ 300 for a club sandwich or burger. The staff are very courteous, and very knowledgeable about their product. The ambience, if there are no large groups of office workers that, is quiet and homely. This is definitely worth a visit if you’re trying to impress your better half, or celebrating an anniversary!

I always enjoy having a long afternoon lunch here with friends and family. Caprice is located in the Four Seasons Hotel in Central. It used to be the only 3 michelin star restaurant in Hong Kong. That is great reputation, and it certainly lived up to it. I always feel really cared for whenever I dine at Caprice. The staff are the kindest I’ve encountered in Hong Kong. Extremely polite and very attentive. I was thoroughly impressed with the way they handle and run this beautiful restaurant. I believe that even if the food is very good, if the staff working are not skilled enough, it significantly lowers the overall experience and vis versa. Reservations are recommended to dine here. They offer a fairly priced lunch that is a three course meal which changes seasonally. I’ve always left with a full tummy and a big smile on my face. The views of the harbor looking at the Kowloon side is pretty soothing. A glass of wine to go with the view doesn’t hurt either. I have to say that even though I am giving this place 5 stars, the food standards have fallen since the change of head chefs. The presentation is still beautiful, but it just isn’t as elegant and clean as it once was. The flavors are wonderful as you would expect from Caprice, but I feel it has gone down a bit in quality. Also, since the change of chefs, michelin has taken one of the three stars away. Caprice is now a two michelin star restaurant.
