Café Deco really only stood out to us because they had relatively comfortable seating in a mildly private area, which can be hard to come by in an airport. Overall, pretty mediocre experience, although it was nice sitting somewhere quiet for a bit. THEGOOD. — Quiet seating — Outlets for charging your phones(if you sit strategically) THEBAD. — Incredibly over-priced food(with mark-ups of at least 3x what you’ll find in the food court mere seconds away) — Limited wine selection with most types only being available by the bottle — Pretty lousy service Our food wasn’t awful, but everything else was pretty meh, sadly.

The service is a little slow at the bar. I had the burger and it was so-so and it took a while. If you really want a sit down restaurant you don’t have many choices at the airport so it will do — but the food is probably better at a much lower price at the fast food court.

Staff who are more like prison wardens than bar staff or servers. If I had one sentence to warn you off then that would be it, but I have room to write more so here goes. The staff attitude was just short of very rude. Probably somewhere between very and really. They took ages to do anything, particularly bring you your bill. Do not leave it to last min if you need to run for a plane. These guys will make you very nervous about getting to your gate. The drinks were exorbitant prices. Around 7 quid for pint of crap beer. The décor and surrounds see dated and a bit icky. This place does food as well, but I never tried it. Poor airport bar avoid if you can.

Hong Kong review #14 Breakfast in the Hong Kong airport before our flight back to Manila. After walking around and around all of the restaurants in and around the food court area, I decided I didn’t want to(have to) walk around looking for an empty table, while carrying a tray of food. This place looked good, so we walked in to be seated. Dining & bar /sushi bar(?) SERVICE: Let’s see… they take you to your table, take your order and bring you your food. Yup, that’s about it! I’d have to say this falls under«typical restaurant service in Asia», even though it was far from your typical Asian restaurant. They get the job done, are not particularly friendly or attentive, but they are not harsh or rude either. One nice thing is they’ll let you sit there as long as you want… you must ask for the bill. Also, they have free wi-fi, which was nice. REALITYCHECK: Remember people, you are in an airport and EVERYTHING costs more! FOOD: On that same note above, this was the most expensive meal of my entire trip, HK$ 340($ 44US) for the two of us! No, it’s not a great value, but then it’s far from a «food court» meal too. We started with a cup of hot chocolate, which was good, but obviously made from a powdered mix. When I saw«danish» on the menu and«apricot» as a flavor, I quickly ordered 2! OMG these were SOGOOD! The pastry was super light and flaky, lightly«crackling» like a good croissant as I bit into it. The filling was just right, not too sweet and a great apricot flavor, DELISH! I decided on the ham & cheese omelette which came with a broiled(grilled?) tomato and a slice of toast. Yes the omelette was on the small side, especially considering the nearly $ 20(US) price tag. But WOW this was THEBEST omelette I’ve had in a very long time, absolutely delicious! Perfectly(and correctly) cooked, plus bursting with flavor! They used a blend of cheeses, including parmesan which worked so well. My friend had the pancakes with ricotta & honey. Beautiful presentation but small portion. Ricotta is an interesting and an odd thing to serve with pancakes, but the honey helped. Whipped cream would have been better, IMHO. OVERALL: It was costly having breakfast in an airport and service was like 2.5 stars. However the food was a solid 4+ if not 5 stars. But would I go to Café Deco again? Just because of the cost, probably not.

Terrible customer service, they are all very cold and never check back to see if you need anything. No eye contact, no smiles. The food is terrible — and it is very overpriced. We were desperate so decided to go back a second time. Two strikes.

3.5 stars. I didn’t actually eat here but I came for a cup of joe with a shot of espresso. I was somewhat bothered by the fact it was almost equivalent to $ 5 in USd since everything else is cheaper in Hk. But I think as a coffee drinker, as long as it is strong to my taste and level i would accept it since I needed a strong caffeine. I thought it was strong enough. I just didn’t like how it was so fancy where they had to direct me elsewhere to order my coffee. I had to go to someone else after speaking to someone near there. We’re at an airport, we have places to go! I think they need an area to serve just«togo» customers.

OK airport bar, good for getting away from the hustle and bustle of HKG. I had the Kirin frozen beer, having heard good things about it before. The foam is supposed to be frozen, with ice crystals in the foam on top which helps keep the beer cold even on a hot day, much like latté foam but in reverse. Unfortunately the foam was only semi cold by the time it reached my table, with the rest of the foam being just foam. Otherwise, the service décor and prices are on par with airports, meaning it’s a little more expensive than outside, but still reasonable. Though I didn’t eat, the menu seems on par with North American style bar food, with buffalo wings, burgers and the like.

Great food terrible service. The menu has a great selections from around the world. The service is horrible. You don’t really get a waiter you just have a bunch of servers walking around like zombies that you need to flag down if you need or want to beg for service! Good thing the food is good!
