Butterfly On Wellington

I stayed here for a week. The hotel is next to the pedestrian escalator and is right in the middle of the shopping and restaurant centre in Central, and the MTR is only 5 minutes away. I found the staff very friendly and the room comfortable, with great cold air conditioning, which was greatly appreciated during the hot, humid weather in May.

This has been my go-​to hotel in Central HK since 2011. It is moderately priced, comfortable and has an excellent location. Rooms are modern and functional and since my last visit, they have now added the free smart phone which gives you free phone calls as well as stay connected to the internet throughout your stay.
The hotel is basic in that there is no onsite restaurant, bar or gym but who needs to eat at the hotel when there is so much food that can be found close to the hotel? The hotel is a short stroll from the Mid Levels Escalator so you’re about 10 minutes from HK station and a little further to Central station but definitely close enough to remain convenient.
Service has always been friendly, once you figure out that reception is on level 1 and not the small entrance at ground level :)

I just stayed at the Butterfly for 3 nights. Cutting to the chase.
Pros:
–In Central area, very convenient, can walk to everything
–Close to MTR
–Very nice bathroom
–Bed is comfortable
–Room is big
Cons:
–Front desk not so helpful, English not very good
–Carpet in room is old and seems a bit dirty
–No room service
