If you visit Hong Kong, this is a must try! Granted, there’s always a line, rain or shine. You might be sharing tables with complete strangers and the service is subpar. They’re so busy that the workers are just rushing customers in and out of there. Come here for the food and not for the service. This place is ranked 10th in Hong Kong’s 10 Most Iconic Restaurants. They’re famous for their steamed egg and milk puddings. It comes in two flavors, steamed egg pudding with almond flavour(yellow), or steamed milk pudding with egg white(white) served hot or cold. I really liked my white pudding served hot. It was smooth and creamy, went down my throat like butter. The hubby ordered the egg & cheese sandwich. He liked it so much that he ordered a second one. We also got a hot Ovaltine and hot Horlick, which I haven’t had since I was a kid.

the food is good, but doesn’t quite live up to the hype for me. There are many cafes in Hong Kong that are comparable /better, but perhaps in less central locations or without the publicity. We had the scrambled eggs, French toast, steamed milk custard & milk tea(post-dinner snack!). Scrambled eggs were good, but I mean, it’s scrambled eggs — no matter how good, it can only get so good. French toast was just okay, nothing special. Steamed milk custard was delicious, but incredibly sweet — would be great for sharing if you don’t have a major sweet tooth. Milk tea was excellent, rumored to be proper«stocking» tea but can’t confirm since staff here will only speak to you if they absolutely need to(which we didn’t mind). My friend & I got a table straight away(Thurs night, 8:30 ish), no queues. worth the visit for the milk tea alone is there’s no wait time.

I joined in on the hype of this place when I visited HK. I am a sucker for that stuff. But it wasn’t all for waste. This place has some good stuff. They have a long line that moves quick. Shared seats inside. Loud waiters and plates clanking. That’s HK for you. Gotta love it. I love eggs and dairy products and they have all those items. HK milk tea was strong and refreshing. Steamed egg is a must. It is cold, sweet, and like a egg tart but larger and in a bowl! The scrambled egg on top of toast was creamy goodness. I was doubtful on how good a scrambled egg could be, but it was good. The macaroni soup with ham on top was a little overboard for me. This is a HK thing I believe and something I can do without. I just wanted a taste of everything here. I met two people from San Francisco while there. We got seated on the same table. I would recommend tourist and locals to go try it out. It is a quick breakfast, and a place to meet others.

Guess I shouldn’t be surprise this place has so many reviews. I remember finding out about this place years ago when I visited Hong Kong as a tourist! Back then you had to rely on good old Googling of must eat places in Hong Kong. After so many years, Australia Dairy Company is still one of my favorite places to eat and bring tourist-visitors to! What’s so special about this place? I guess part of it is the«dairy» portion of their name. They make really good milk pudding, egg custard pudding, as well as scramble eggs. But my favorite thing about this place is the restaurants personality. Like a true Hong Kong café, be prepared to be yelled at by the waiters who simply have no time to deal with you. When you come here during peak time(around lunch), you’ll most likely see a giant queue. But don’t let that deter you. They are extremely efficient and the queue moves pretty fast. When you get seated, order quick and eat fast. But while you’re eating, look around and marvel at their top notch efficiency. Orders are taken quickly, food is brought to you at an extremely quick pace, and customers are rotated in and out of there like clockwork. This restaurant has a pretty good representation of how hectic life in Hong Kong can be. Before you even finish your last bite, there is already another customer right standing behind you waiting to sit down. Hope you enjoy your Hong Kong experience!

The scrambled eggs are like crack. actually. if you do not like the fluffy eggy goodness of these bad boys, then I do not know how to help you slash maybe you dont like eggs? GOTTAGO, except the long lines and feelings extremely tense whilst ordering and eating your meal. Being there for 20mins already feels too long and they want you to GET out so they can serve the next batch of people. Oh and theres a camera reminding you there is a LONGLINEOUTTHERE. so YUMMMMMMY must go :)

Had to check out this place bc of the hype. Walked in and was immediately yelled at and ushered inside. Was approached 5 times trying to take my order within 5 min while I was struggling with the traditional Chinese menu before I asked for the English menu and ordered the toast with egg and a cold milk tea. They told me to order the custard instead, but I didn’t want anything sweet bc it was late. They continued to push the custard and was like everyone orders it bc it’s the best. But I insisted. Both the tea and sandwich came out in like 3 min, and 4 waiters told me to put sugar in. TL;DR know exactly what you want before you get there and prepare for everything to be insanely fast paced. Honestly stressed me out a little bit haha. As for the egg sandwich, it tasted surprisingly good for just being eggs and toast. The milk tea in HK just isn’t for my taste, I think too bitter for me. But I still had to try. Pretty pricy but I can say that I’ve been. Next time I’ll get the custard. Literally all the workers were like«I told you so» haha. Pay at the front of the counter.

Coming to Australia Dairy Company is practically a rite of passage for all tourists and locals in Hong Kong. They have been tops on many people lists(including Unilocal’s Top Spots) as a must-try establishment for Hong Kong Style Cafes. There are lines every day and table sharing is likely. For a place that doesn’t even have«Hong Kong» anywhere in its title, where is the appeal? For a long time I was anti-HK Cafes because it just seemed like badly executed western cuisine. Macaroni & Ham soup? Runny scrambled eggs? Toast with a little PB and butter? What in the world is this? It wasn’t till I dined here till it truly dawned on me: This comfort food is straight up delicious. Their sets are the easiest way to enjoy a decent bit of food without going over 40HKD. The breakfast sets usually include bread /toast of some kind, with eggs, ham, a soup, and a drink. It’s hard to mess this up since there is so much cross over, but I love the toast with condensed milk, egg and ham sandwich, and the macaroni ham soup isn’t so bad either. Even the iced milk tea is fantastic and extra kudos for serving it in a metal cup. A bonus is their pudding desserts are fantastic. Hot or cold(I like the latter), the steamed milk with egg white or steamed egg with almond can be yours for a cool $ 26HKD. It’s a great way to finish off a meal but is best enjoyed in house. The prices seem to be unaffected by their popularity as it is on par with other similar spots. Menus embedded into the table are all in Chinese, but English menus are available upon request. The one complaint most people would have beyond the lines is the service. The attitude from the staff is basically«Hong Kong local service,» which isn’t so flattering to the rest of us who expect more. Keep your expectations low, come hungry, and as always, bring cash.

Came here for some desserts after our snack time at the wanton shop next door. Apparently Australia Dairy Company is really popular and was recommended. My best friend said when he tried it several years ago, it was really good. Their milk tea is supposed to be in a cooled tin cup so it should be a refreshing feeling on a hot, humid day. We got iced milk teas, a hot egg custard pudding, and a French toast. Maybe we got the wrong items but none of them were very good for me. The milk tea tasted different to me and it tasted as though it had a lot of milk. I couldn’t really taste much of the tea flavor. It was probably because they use a special type of cream. I don’t care for hot desserts so the egg custard pudding was an automatic no from me. I did try it and I still didn’t like it. The French toast was just … bread. Service is quick. I suppose you do get the authentic Hong Kong experience… with servers rushing you in to sit at a shared table and then rushing you to order. The place seems to constantly has a line and it also seems to pack as many people in there as they can haha. I mean, I feel as though everyone should give it a try regardless because it is really insanely popular. You also get a different type of experience. I most likely won’t be coming back if I ever visit Hong Kong again. Also, they do have an English menu. you just have to ask for it! :)

Growing up in the hood, I have been to this place a hundred time, easily. Yeah, Australia Dairy Company is notoriously known for their ultra bad service, and the absurdly long lines. Of course the customers still go there for the same reason, they love the food. I recommend getting the breakfast combo, comes with macaroni in soup, buttered toast, scrambled eggs, and a drink… same menu in the past decades. I am a big fan of their scrambled eggs, the flavors and the consistency are gonna knock your socks off! Get the egg pudding if you are a dessert person, it’s a typical Hong Kong dessert… aww… so nostalgic… gimme gimme some! Actually the lines move quickly because you will finish eating in like 15 minutes. Just check it out, you will see why.

There’s always a line and moves quick depending on which day of the week it is. Faster, obviously on weekday versus weekends. They force you to share tables w/others so it tends to be shoulder to shoulder. To say that the serve time is quick would be an understatement. They’re lightning fast. Skip the steamed milks. We ordered the regular along w/the almond and they were bland. The macaronis are standard café food and needed a dash of salt. The French toast was my favorite primarily because they had some ooey gooey syrup to go w/it. Sandwiches were ok. The milk tea had a strong tea flavor which overpowered the milk. Expect to add a healthy spoonful or 2 of sugar for your hot milk tea. Premixed if you order cold. Good cheap eats. In and out in under half an hour.

After brunch at the neighbouring Mak’s noodles I decided to join the short queue at this infamous place just to see for myself what the fuss was about. As expected the servers were unfriendly and impatient especially towards non-local customers. All the menus on display are in Chinese, if they expect everyone to order instantly upon being seated they should have bilingual menus readily available like they do at Mak’s noodles! I did not intend to have any of the unappetising looking processed ham floating in a pool of brownish yellow broth & carbs or the bright yellow eggs with cheap white bread. What I came for was a hot beverage and dessert to help soothe a sore throat developed from being in 40c heat and humidity overseas. I ordered a hot watercress honey and hot steamed milk pudding. What I got served with was a lemon tea. The hot watercress honey when I eventually got it was nice enough but the milk pudding was inferior to those I tried at Yee Shun milk company. Would I bother to revisit the Australia Dairy Company again? Definitely not given that all of the dishes are available at other traditional HK cafes with better service and where one can dine in a more pleasant and relaxed setting.

This place is so overrated that I don’t know where to begin. I really don’t know why ppl go here. I’m so puzzled. The scrambled eggs were just okay, but the toast and coffee was mediocre at best. As for the macaroni and ham soup, it’s really a Cantonese thing, and all I can say is I make a better one any day. I can’t believe people wait in line for this place. There are just way better options in HK.

One word, perfect. Mandy is a very knowledgable and enthusiastic person who loves Hong Kong. We covered all of the major attractions and some sights only locals would know about. By the end of the tour I felt I really understood life in HK. Mandy is just a lovely person who genuinely wanted to exceed my expectations. In many ways it felt less like a tour and more like a good friend showing me her home town.

We had the eggs and toast, egg custard/pudding, milk pudding and the hk style tea. Here’s a quick run down on each one: Eggs: best scrambled eggs ever!!! Seriously, they know what they are doing. It’s quality stuff. Egg pudding/milk pudding: I’m a huge egg pudding person but it didn’t do it for me. The egg pudding is a bit too eggy for me but some might prefer it that way. It’s still better than your avg place but the egg pudding wasn’t mind blowing. I actually preferred the milk pudding(it’s usually the other way around). It was a bit sweeter but not too sweet. Hk style tea: it was too rich of the evaporated milk for me personally. Some might like it that way. This place is a legit no frills hk style diner. There’s prob 10 guys on the floor ready to serve and they churn people out since they focus on a limited number of items on the menu. I’d say it is definitely worth a visit if you have time.

I love this place! We came here on a weekday morning. There were about 20 people lining up in front of us, but the line went through quickly and we were seated in 10 minutes. The order was efficient and the food arrived quickly. We ordered a breakfast meal with scrambled egg, since that’s what people rave about. The scrambled eggs were done perfectly. The yellow egg pudding was smooth and silky.

When people tell me they like this place I wonder why would they go through the hassle to stand in line and get yelled at by the service staff? We stood about 25 minutes in line, got hustled in by a grumpy looking man, and got seated at an empty table. We should’ve prepared our orders beforehand because while we were frantically scanning the menu for what to order, the guy taking our orders must’ve came, rolled his eyes, left and repeated the cycle at least three times.(If we did not say anything within 5 seconds he would walk off) We got the milk pudding, egg pudding, buttered toast and eggs and macaroni. We wanted to order more but the atmosphere was just too stressful for us to take our time to enjoy our food. We just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. We also got barked at a couple of times… The table was pretty small so our food filled the entire table up till the edge. The scary old man scolded me for putting my cup at the edge of the table as it may fall off and create a mess. I mean… Okay he has his point but was it really necessary?! :(My friend got yelled at for putting his phone on the table. Gosh. The macaroni is a popular item, but I didn’t think it was nice at all. Soup was watered down and almost tasteless. Yeah okay fine I guess some of the other items are really good(I liked the egg pudding) but I’m sure there are comparable alternatives somewhere? Like some of the locals say, getting scolded is part of the experience here. I don’t think I’d ever want to stand in line and pay to get scolded/feel stressed about eating again.

Australia Dairy Co. is noted as one of the top eateries in Hong Kong despite being notorious for their impatient and low tolerance service level. For those who have not been here, do not mistaken, perhaps such service treatment we have received is all parts and parcel in their service industry. Do you agree? Pack with locals as well as tourists in snaky queues, it would take about 15 — 20 minutes to get a seat with the quick turnover time. Being in a big group of 7, we have no choice but to split ourselves into 2 groups /tables. It would be good diners can decide and think through what they like to have while queuing to prevent the discomfort later on when you are seated in the restaurant. As once you get into the restaurant and seated, you are expected to give an immediate answer for the order when they approach you and if you are not ready, they will sulk and walk away doing other things. This is my 2nd visit here even though I felt that atmosphere was not very ideal and very stressful. In short, I feel like having breakfast and rushing elsewhere to catch a train. Anyway, for the easier way out, standard menu set is listed and with limited choices. We picked the easier menu and be amazed that our food was served in less than 3 minutes. Macaroni was served in plate instead of bowl with thinly shredded ham and soaked in yellow tasty soup. In fact after eating few bowls of Macaroni with ham in Hong Kong, I would say that their preparation was different from the usual stock we had. Macaroni with Ham 火腿通粉 Scrambled egg was good but on the oily side. Nevertheless the sunny bright yellow color of the egg had amazed us and we wondered how did they get the color? The toast is quite thick and perfect if you place some egg and eat them together. 牛油方包,西煎双蛋 After trying Yee Shun’s milk pudding, I told myself these are the not to miss! Texture was like our Soya Bean Jelly that was in trend in the past years and of course taste was light on the milk. If you ask me to compare both, I will say Australia Dairy Co. do have their own style of preparation. Pudding — 26HKD Set meal is completed with either a cup of hot coffee or tea and of course for a non-coffee lover like me, the most I will go for their milk tea! While my dining kakis did a top up on the beverage and make the cup of ice milk tea with little ice cubes. Additional 2HKD for Cold It’s kind of stressful to eat with servers consistently clearing away your empty dishes and with people in the queues keep popping their steps into the restaurant to check for empty seats. There is no luxurious time in enjoying the breakfast and we quickly make our way to the cashier after finishing our meal. Perhaps a wait of 20 minutes in the queue and 10 minutes for food? Trip was completed by purchasing a glass of their chilled milk! And paper bag was given to hold the glass bottle. Well, it definitely feel better to have a «take away» and finishing up the glass of drink without being pressurized by the crowd. If you asked if I will buy that milk again, I will say I will skip it the next round as there is nothing special about it.

Favorite place in Hong Kong, hands down. Going in, you need to be prepared for the waiters there to be slightly rude(jokingly) to you, yell at you when you move slow, and be out in basically 15 minutes, but this has the best scrambled eggs I’ve ever had, and is one of the experiences that perhaps best encapsulate the spirit of Hong Kong. When you order one of their set meals, you need to know: if you want your egg fried or scrambled(always go scrambled), if you want your bread toasted or not, and if you want spaghetti or macaroni in your set meal. If you have this down pat and just ramble it off to the waiter when you order, you might just earn some respect from the waiter. If not, wait for them to chide you for taking your time to think about these options. But this is what makes this place unique and awesome(there are no other branches of this store in Hong Kong yet — thank goodness it escaped the fate of being a chain store). The waiters, who are kinda rude sometimes, but scarily efficient(the food comes to your table in sometimes less than a minute) and all in all, really good-natured — they’ll joke and laugh when they have a spare moment in between delivering meals to the perennially packed restaurant. And of course the food — soft, pillow-y, amazingly buttery scrambled eggs, best eaten on top of the thick slabs of toast that come along with it, and the classic East meets West roasted cha siu pork with spaghetti in soup. Go to this place, spend time appreciating the sheer efficiency that this place displays, and have fun with the jokes and jostling and the best scrambled eggs ever.

This place is ridiculous. They take simple things like scrambled eggs and make it the best you’ve ever had. Also delicious are their macaroni in soup and steamed egg puddings(the hot tastes better than the cold IMO). I don’t honestly know how they do it, but it’s well worth a visit to check it out. As mentioned in other reviews, there’s always a crowd, but they whittle through with mad efficiency.

I wanted dessert. There were these pudding-looking things in the window, and a good friend of mine had recommended this place. Okay, I’ll try it. The service was abysmal, which is unfortunate because the milk pudding was pretty good. I got two(yes I am a little piggy), the chocolate and regular. It was sort of late, so I suppose they were a bit old, but it’s pudding, after all. My friend told me that breakfast is really what you go for, but alas, when you are jet lagged, you tend to miss breakfast. The server looked annoyed as I tried to order, and then again when I was done and wanted to pay. It wasn’t really that late at night, and I had to catch a train back to Central, so I wanted to be done, and it was just slow. There’s so much to eat, see, and experience in Hong Kong, so I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this one.

Another raved about local restaurant that was pretty standard. Some food items are great and some are meh. I came here a couple times while studying abroad in HK because it’s right on the edge of Jordan/YMT/Mong Kok area – my favorite part of the city. Come later afternoon/dinner time if you want to avoid a line, although the line moves very quickly if there is one. This is because the workers quite literally rush you in and out. Be prepared to be angrily yelled out by the servers if you don’t shovel the food in your mouth and leave right after… no, I’m serious, it happened to me and just about every non-local in the restaurant during each of my visits. The inside is chaotic, noisy, and crowded… but pretty clean and neat. You’ll be pointed to a table which you’ll most likely share with strangers, be given a menu which you’ll have ~1min to look at before being demanded to order, and receive your food within ~2min. I always order the egg sandwich and steamed egg white milk(a hot, sweet, soft pudding-like dessert). The raves about egg sandwich is whatever to me. The egg is really salty which gives a sharp taste, and the bread is standard HK sandwich bread without crush. The steamed egg white milk though is delicious! I highly recommend getting it hot rather than cold. It’ll be good for breakfast or as dessert after a meal. The food isn’t as cheap as you’d imagine local food to be, most likely because it’s famous. Those 2 items are ~60HKD, which I think is a lot for a simple sandwich and bowl of pudding. This place is worth a visit just to see what the fuss is about. Most people I know think it’s okay, but have that 1 item that keeps them going back despite the sucky environment and extremely rude servers.

I believe Australia Dairy has been around forever(since 1970). They’ve got excellent breakfast/dessert type food and impressive service at great prices. English menus are also available. FOOD Macaroni soup — this is really popular but it doesn’t seem very special so I never get it Egg sandwich — scrambled eggs is a signature of theirs. It’s fluffy, awesome, and unlike your typical boring scramble. *Egg/beef sandwich — it’s their egg sandwich with some corned beef added to the mix. This is my favorite thing on their menu. Toast with peanut butter and condensed milk — tasty, pretty much perfect. AMBIENCE Tables are small, chairs are small, the place is crowded, and it’s a bit noisy. If you are sitting near a walkway, chances are you will be bumped into every minute. The good thing about it not being that comfortable is that people usually just eat and leave. SERVICE It’s chaos in here. They’ve got 5 guys running around seating people, taking orders, and bringing food to tables. Then they have a bunch of guys in the kitchen. I have no idea how they are so efficient, but they are. Service is faster than McDonald’s. They strangely do not leave an order slip at your table. Call a guy over when you are done eating and he will look at your empty plates and count the bill up in his head lol. Amazing. Oh and they have never messed up my order in the 20 times I’ve been here haha.

Australia Dairy Company serves comfort food in its most simple yet wholly satisfying incarnation. It’s cheap, it’s casual, it’s brash, it’s loud: and it’s a whole lot of fun. Even though you’ll queue for likely 30 minutes, it’s all part of the experience. Indeed, there is an English menu but supposedly there is only ONE English menu on the premises so plan accordingly — take a few screenshots of menu photos that have been uploaded to this Unilocal biz page. Just in case you need to point to them and smile! The most popular menu items are the unique scrambled eggs(I think they’re made with milk and a whole lot of butter), thick buttered toast, and milk or egg custards. You can order them cold or hot — while I enjoyed the egg almond custard, I preferred the milk custard with egg white. Served hot, of course! Tip: stay off your phone whilst waiting in the queue and once seated or you risk getting skipped over. The staff doesn’t have time for all that — ADC is crazy efficient so be prepared to be left behind if you’re causing them any inconvenience. You absolutely have to check out Australia Dairy Company at least once. Go for the experience, and some pretty solid comfort food.

I selected this as I wanted a good breakfast place and this was a highly rated breakfast place on Unilocal,so off I went! When I got there there was a long line. There usually is. I almost said forget it but got in line. I lucked out! What they do is when there is one seat open they go out and start at the front and go back until they get a single person! Twos are less frequent and 3 and 4 can wait a long time! So since I was a one and 20 or so in front of me were 2’s and more I went in in only about a minute! Every seat at every table is used, so yes you sit with strangers. Pray you dont get with a person coughing or sneezing their brains out like so often happens. They put butter with the eggs, so that makes them better. Other than that I dont see the huge draw here as the rest of it is about the same as can be found all over. The price 32HK$ for the usual breakfast most order is in line with prices elsewhere. I think its popular as you get this big bowl of chicken broth, macaroni, and ham slices, plus eggs and toast plus coffee or tea. This way Asians get that hot bowl of something many like for breakfast PLUS the eggs and toast… like a combo for one price. I think that is the draw here. When your ready to go you signal to the waiter and he writes just a number on a piece of paper, you go to a desk pay and leave. Simple and easy. If your a picky eater, dont try to mess with anything and get something special at this or any other cheap eatery. You pick the set or package, you get what it is and you either eat it or you dont! If you have special issues you need to go to a hotel restaurant or a fancier place where you can be picky.

So when we came here the line went down the street, but in true Hong Kong style efficiency the wait was not long. If you’re an English speaker, don’t get scared off, just ask for the English menu. Things are so efficient because they will fill up tables with anyone, so we got paired up with a local couple. They specifically asked us, as tourists, how we heard about the restaurant in the first place. Deep research people, deep research brought us to this place. Their specialty are their soft pillowy scrambled eggs. I ordered a plate of them which came on top of a thick and buttery slice of toast. My wife got the combo which were the eggs and toast, and also came with a big steaming bowl of macaroni and ham soup and a cup of hot milk tea, which we split. The eggs were amazingly creamy and soft. The soup was tasty as well. Our total ended up to be around $ 10USD. Come for the food! Come for the Hong Kong experience!

This place is fun. Long but fast moving queue. Fast efficient service. The food is comfort food. The eggs(fried or scrambled), coffee, milk tea, toast and custards are good, not outstanding and still altogether it’s fun and tasty, you will leave happy or rather excited and content. The place is cheap and I think they only accept cash. Breakfast is served till 12 pm. Then they got the tea/lunch set. Almost the same anyway. The yummy egg custard with almond flavour reminded me of my childhood and the Italian«crema» my dad used to make for my brother and me. Check it out and see what it does for you. No place to sit around and chill though. Queue, order, eat, pay and leave.

It was my last day in Hong Kong and I saved the best for last. I took a quick look online and saw that everyone and their mother has mentioned going to this place. Looks like the word is out because as soon as I arrived here, I noticed the line wrapping around the block and then some. Was I really going to wait in this monstrous line for some eggs? Well, they have pudding so I will wait an eternity for that. It must have been my lucky day as I only waited about 10 – 15 mins in line until one of the workers ran up to me and asked«One?» I wasn’t sure if he wanted to know if it was a party of one or how many bowls of pudding I was ready to devour, but I said yes(Note: if it was the latter, the real answer should have been 5). He quickly grabs my arm and we skip past about 20 people in line and he sits me down at a table of 4 with a family of 3 already eating there. It makes sense to do this to be an efficient restaurant, but it was just a tad bit strange to me as I was a brown guy sitting with some parents and their 5 year old daughter. Whatever, I’m here to eat and not make friends with my newly adopted family. I ordered the breakfast set with the toast, scrambled egg, macaroni and ham soup, and milk tea. The eggs here are so fluffy and different than what I’ve ever had. The soup wasn’t anything to write home about, but I didn’t mind. Why? Because pudding exists in this world and this place is known for it. I ordered a hot pudding and my goodness… I fell in love. I only ordered the hot milk pudding and it was glorious. I would have ordered the egg pudding as well, but I think my newly adopted family was traumatized enough seeing me devour all this food so fast. Next time, Hong Kong.

A revisit after such a long period of time that I almost forgot it’s a well known tourist spot nowadays. We all know it’s signature scrambled eggs and desserts. but it’s the logistic flow they implemented amazed me yet again! Long queue? Not a problem, don’t think it took me over 15mins wait even though I was at the far end of the street. Your food arrived 30seconds after you ordered and you probably finished your meal within 20 mins. 4 stars go towards how they streamlined their logistic flow to provide extreme efficient service while maintaining the consistency on the food quality.

So there were two places I was told that you had to go for Milk Pudding and this was one of them. And I loved it. Now, I can see why milk pudding would not be for everyone, it’s very sweet and hot or cold, it can be strange. But I loved the strangeness. I loved sitting and ordering and having my food come out super fast and enjoying. Now, unlike the other spot, which shall not be named(ok, it’s Yee Shun), this one was a little more laid back. You sat and ate and could kind of take your time. We didn’t feel rushed here at all, and that was nice. Plus, my god those eggs are good. Five stars, don’t miss it!

YUMYUMYUM… This is all that comes to mind when I think of this place. Australia Dairy Company is your traditional hong kong café that serves different types of toasts, macaroni soups, various breakfasts, and fresh soymilk. The pudding/custards are SOSMOOTH and SILKY! FOOD. Cold Egg Pudding — I wasn’t a fan of this because the egg flavor was very overpowering. but I can see how people really enjoy it. The flavor is very nice and smooth if you like egg flavor! It might taste better hot than cold so maybe that is worth a try! Cold Milk Pudding — My favorite cold dessert here. Think of it as a gelatinized milk pudding that is lightly sweetened. DRINKS. Iced Milk Tea — not a bad choice to have here. Pretty standard. TIPS++ COMEEARLY! If you don’t, you’ll be stuck waiting. And If you come late or you get stuck waiting. By the time you finally get a seat, you’ll notice that they start to rush you out too!

Believe the hype! The scrambled eggs on buttered toast are as good as it gets. Light, fluffy, buttery — the eggs are pretty close to perfection. Is it MSG? Is it that they are just a hint undercooked? No matter, they are delish. The iced milk tea is quite good as well especially on a hot, muggy night. LINES: I came for a late snack after 10:00pm and there was no line unless you were in a group of 4 or more. SERVICE: Service was no-nonsense and super fast without rushing you. It was pretty obvious that I didn’t speak Chinese and they handed me a bilingual menu. No complaints here. This is the kind of place where they give you the check and you pay up front. Quick and efficient with no frills.

Always heard about this place so bookmarked this for my trip to HK. On my first day, I had lunch and I was just walking around Kowloon with my mom. She pointed at a long line and she was like let’s check it out. Turns out it was Australia Dairy Company! I was stuffed from lunch but still waited in line for their custards. Ordered the milk and egg custard(cold). You can choose hot or cold. Both were so silky and smooth. I liked the egg custard more because it was more flavorful. Lines are long but move fairly fast. They will seat you with strangers. They seated my mom & me at a table for four. A girl at our table was also from Socal so we chatted while eating haha.
