With the myriad of korean restaurants in the area, it’s hard to choose a place sometimes. Well, have no fear, because this is one of the better korean restaurants in town. Yes, they have all your typical meats and dishes. But the one that really stands out is the kimchi pancake. It’s one of the better ones I’ve eaten. I highly recommend making a reservation as this place gets packed.

Place rating: 5 Hong Kong
If I had to rate one of the best Korean restaurants in Hong Kong; A Ri Su would certainly be one to mention. Situated in the middle of town at the end of a cul-de –sac, its situated in a building consisted entirely of restaurants and bars. These are places I usually avoid because its impossible to park there and it always takes ages to go up. So I avoided all this and went at lunch. Now admittedly I have been told about this place, that’s why I went there. Amongst the masses of Korean restaurants in this area I really would not have thought to come here specifically. The décor is new enough but not breathtaking and even the waiters who greeted us at first seem to be having a bad day. Cheer up could you! Looking at the menu was my first surprise– most of the sets are available within 150HKD; which is quite good value considering how much food you get. It took them some time to serve it and once I had my first bite– I was sold. Now I understand why I was told to come here specifically and had no regrets doing so. The only regret was that it was middle of the day so I couldn’t(I could but I don’t want to go to an AA meeting) wash it down with some soju. I had ordered a bibimbap and a beef stew(my staple) and they had this down to a fine art. No complaints at all. Anything that’s bad about it? To be honest, not much. I went on a quiet day maybe but everything went quite smoothly and even the grumpy waitress warmed to us later. Having said this, I have heard prices in the evening are drastically different so you might like to check before you go.
