DON’T GETCHICKENPHOHERE! I’ve warned you. It’s probably the worst I’ve had(not too many experiences in chicken phở, but I know a bad one when I taste it!). Literally tasted like boiled chicken in plain hot water. I’ve had raw beef phở here and it was very mediocre as well. And trust me, I’ve tried over 10 diff ones in HK and 30+ in LA. I know my beef phở. Then why am I so generous to present this little humble eatery 5 stars? because it has the best, and I mean the best, PORKNECKLOMUNG $ 46. Maybe I’m biased. But it’s really perfection for me(and the price too!) You get a heap of noodles and pork neck. There are pork-necks I’ve had that are more tender, and noodles that are more QQ, yet for some reason, the mixture of everything and the perfectly seasoned, not overly salty, fish sauce(which i can pour in without the sedements) just dances beautifully together. I suppose I have had ever so slightly better lo mung but for $ 20 – 40 more. To me, it’s analogous to my ideal boyfriend. I know there’s alway hotter guys out there, but this one is more compatible and complementary with me! Their HAINANCHICKENRICE $ 65~ is rock solid too, and I can also vouch for their pork neck rice. What’s more, drinks are cheap! I think it was $ 7 extra for iced lemon tea with my noodles. For Central, this is all a steal! *** Tip: DONOT get chicken phở. Head to BEP for beef phở instead. Favourites: Pork Neck Lo Mung! Meh: prepare to be disappointed with phở Last words: Maybe I am a bit biased because there’s nothing else that’s good and cheap to eat on Caine Rd

Eh! Broth is tasteless. Noodles are over cooked. Veggies taste old. I squeezed the Lime and NOJUICE came out. WHAT!!! LOL. A waste of 41 bucks. I could have bought me a chicken kebab down the street. Just don’t bother coming here. That. is. all.

Cute Vietnamese place located close to the Mid-Levels escalator on the south side of Caine Road. Compared to the many shops nearby, the prices for the food and beer are bargains here! My go to order is the raw beef phở(202) which comes out fast, well seasoned, and with just enough spice. This place is very popular at lunch time as well.
