I have been a long time supporter of this restaurant and used to eat it daily when they first opened. That was quite some time ago, and, though I venture out to other Korean joints, Chowon is what they are measured against. I love the banchan here. The banchan never fails to please. For that alone, they get first place in my book for favorite Korean restaurants. It doesn’t hurt that they have nice textured marinated kallbi and bulgogi, flavorful soups, and, a wide variety to choose from. I have yet to try any of their hot pots/stews, pancakes, or, bibimbaps but, I am sure I will get to them. They win my vote for great kalbi yet not the best. The same with their bulgogi, reminds me of sukiyaki. Their kimchee stew is one of my go to soups(mind you it has pork). === Links to pages Unilocal has not yet uploaded === -…

We think this is hands down, the best Korean restaurant in Guam. Go for the flavor, and the freshness. Our favorites are the Dolsot-bibimbap and the kalbi.

Still is one of the best. Banchan variety are the best. Currently they increased their price but still worth every penny. Still couldn’t ask about the wi-fi but there a few open wifi’s around. Very accommodating ahjuma.

I can be harsh critiquing Korean restaurants. This one was pleasantly tasty and all the banchan(side dish) were quite good. The BBQ meat was excellent and almost perfect. one of the best Korean BBQ. The price is a tad hih, but worth it. You should definitely try it.

I had a great experience here. The service was very speedy. I would recommend the bulgogi, the kalbi, and the grilled pork belly. The meats tasted very fresh and the side dishes were authentic. For a small family restaurant, I would definitely recommend Chowon.

Best Korean restaurant on Guam. I love the food here. Everything is so flavorful. The kalbi here is without a doubt the best on island. They prepare a marinade(which takes several hours) and also spend several hours preparing the meat for the kalbi, which is by far the best I’ve had. Other restaurants like Sejong really lack in quality when it comes to their food. Chowon is THE place to go for your Korean cravings. Service may be a bit slow, but the food comes out quick. And boy, is it worth it! It’ll take you probably 5 – 10 minutes to get your food once you order, and they give lots of side dishes too, which you can always ask for more of. If you want some amazing Korean food, come to Chowon. It’s located in the same building that Tokyo Mart is at in Tamuning.

I’m an adventurous eater. But my wife and I couldn’t find anything among the weird collection of meats and vegetables placed before us that tasted good. The presentation is interesting(you cook the food on a gas burner right there on the table), but our $ 19.49 would have been better spent elsewhere. The ambiance seemed a little harsh/sterile, too. Cho Won may be authentic. If so, I guess Korean is not my thing.

What can I say, it’s an authentic Korean restaurant. The food was fast and delicious. Clean, cool, and friendly. Also, because they are a few doors down from a Culligan business, they serve spring water.
