Jin Mi Restaurant

Personally, I absolutely love this place. Their Kalbi is the best on Guam without a doubt. Their portion is perfect. Parking is horrible! Don’t expect them to smile and start a conversation with you, but food comes in a timely manner. My family and I have been going here for years and still is great!

Good Korean food. BUT the customer service gets so bad sometimes that I lose my appetite. They are also VERY stingy with the side dishes. I know my Korean food and each time we eat there I have to ask for certain side dishes that they don’t bring out to us (but certain customers next to us have them). When I ask they act like I’m asking too much. Once we ordered 3 Kalbi dishes (about$ 75) and they brought the same amount of side dishes as a single person dining there. Huh? When we requested more eggplant and kimchee, she said «ok, but this one and no more.» Same thing I said about eating there. I mean, cmon, learn how to treat your customers and learn English already. You’ve been here for what 30yrs. Really? I’ll get my kalbi fix elsewhere.

Kalbi is the best compare to the other Korean restaurants in Guam.
Meat is juicy and tender.

I’ve eaten at Jin Mi for dinner. The kalbi is delicious and slides right off the (enormous) bone. The spicy squid is excellent and paired well with the kalbi. I’ve found that both these dishes, as well as their accompanying sides, are enough for two. The service was not the friendliest I’ve seen, and I thought it was a bit slow (considering the restaurant was not packed during the time we ordered), but the quality of the food made up for the sub-​par service. Be prepared for some tricky parking spaces, as parking is limited. There are a few spots on the front of the restaurant near the highway and some spots in the back. I highly recommend carpooling if you are going with a group.

As a korean, I would say the food is authentic but the banchan (side dishes) could be better. Service is okay but the parking is horrible!

BEST KALBI EVER (listed on the menu as Korean BBQ beef served island style). Side dishes could be better but I’m not complaining, they were ok. And Kimchi Stew is a no-​no unless you absolutely love the taste of Kimchi Base. Service was mediocre but we came an hour before closing so that might be why though I’ve been there before with regulars and we were treated excellently. Overall, I would keep coming back for the Kalbi since it’s the perfect size for two people and I’d like to try the rest of their stews out.
