Baxpax Mitte Hostel

I have to say when you first walk in the actual hostel, after FINDING the entrance, the walls and rooms will pleasantly surprise you. The hostel is a collage of many different themed paintings. Honestly the wifi and showers need some revamping, the later more so. The shower is similar to the push faucets that go off every 20 sec. Ya… The floors and facilities are scrubbed everyday and the staff is quite helpful too. Now the wifi is not convenient. Everyday you must choose a different login and password from the reception desk. This wouldn’t be so bad if it weren’t for the fact that every time you lock your device it logs you out. This hostel is right outside a U entrance and its a short walk to the M10. I’d recommend this hostel but I also inform people of what they will get ;P

Es ist schon einige Zeit her als ich hier gewohnt habe, ganz klassisch für einen 4 tägigen Kurztrip. Da ich keine Lust hatte mit vielen fremden Menschen in einem Raum zu schlafen hatte ich ein Appartement gebucht. Derer gibt es ein paar auf der obersten Etage des Gebäudes.
Geräumig und sauber mit einem netten Blick über die Dächer von Berlin Mitte. Eine Küchenzeile, ein vernünftiges Badezimmer runden die kleine Wohnung ab. Über allem schwebt das Flair eines bekannten Budget-​Möbelhauses, das passt aber zum günstigen Preis des Hostels und stört überhaupt nicht. Insgesamt handelt es sich um ein etwas schickeres, designorientiertes Haus. Die Bilder auf der Website verraten euch hier mehr.
Die Lage des Hostels ist toll. In ein paar Minuten ist man an den Hackeschen Höfen, die nächste Bahnhaltestelle ist nur 3 Minuten entfernt.
Im EG findet man eine Rezeption, einen Aufenthaltsraum, in dem es morgens auch das Frühstück gibt. Ganz oben findet man auch noch eine Dachterrasse. Vor der Tür stehen direkt am Gebäude kleine Tische und Stühle zum entspannen.
Das Frühstück ist so la la, da habe ich in Jugendherbergen und Hostels schon deutlich besseres erlebt. Aber da man ja so zentral unterwegs ist, ist der nächste Laden, in dem man vernünftig, wenn auch teurer, frühstücken kann, nicht sehr weit weg.
Alles in allem ein tolles Hostel, das ich nur empfehlen kann.

Great for a short stay, rooms have each an individual design which is quite refreshing after a long sightseeing day, partying out or looking for a job as many of their international guests do. Very clean and also friendly staff. Unfortunately it can get quite noisy sometimes at night bc the «Ballhaus» club is in the same building, but that happens only on weekends.

War letztes Jahr im April dort. Direkt nach dem Umbau. Kannte es zwar vorher nicht, aber es rockt.
Geile Atmosphäre, extrem chillig, nette Leute.
Hat auf jeden Fall gefetzt.

The lounge is modern and has a lot of character. There’s a lot of guides provided to let you know where and what to do in Germany. Hang out in the lounge and you’re bound to become friends with another backpacker. The rooms are bigger than most hostels and booking a larger occupancy room is worth it because they normally won’t fill up. And the kitchen is doable and never crowded.

Bin jetzt mittlerweile zum dritten mal dort gewesen und bin immer wieder begeistert. Nettes Personal, gute Atmosphäre, toll gestaltete Zimmer und absolut gute Lage mit U-​Bahn-​Station direkt vor der Tür. Kann ich jedem Berlinbesucher nur empfehlen.

Baxpax hat ein neues Haus in der Ziegelstraße aufgemacht!
Da machen wir neuerdings Parties auf dem Dach und im
Neubaukellerclub. Ach ja, wohnen kann man da auch.
