This hotel is exactly across the street from a Metro stop, which is very convenient. It’s also really close a few grocery stores in the neighborhood. The room itself was basic and clean. I had hot water and wifi, so can’t complain. The breakfast is also basic and no frills. I wouldn’t suggest staying here for more than a night or two and I’d advise you to download a white noise app for your phone if you are a light sleeper.

This hotel is all about location, that part could not be better. Other then that, I’d stay elsewhere. The hotel room service used to be great but I think they have changed chefs. I hear breakfast is still nice, I don’t eat breakfast. Lots of stores near by, close to metro, and of course the Eiffel Tower is right next to you. They redid all the rooms and that’s a plus. They they internet though the constant relogging on is annoying. As far as the staff, well it is France lol

The best thing this hotel has going for it is its location. Ok for a hotel, but not my favorite. WiFi is free, but it’s a hassle, you have to keep reconnecting.

I am not one to write any type of review, in fact this is the first time I have ever posted about a hotel, restaurant, etc. Potentially the worst hotel I have ever experienced. Amazing location but the staff was extremely rude, ill prepared and generally non-existent. First blunder. Temperature control in the room did not work even though you had the ability to change the thermostat the forced air system just blew out the same extremely hot air. Things like this happen and we opened our window. Not a huge deal. Second blunder. I dropped off one shirt to be pressed for a wedding I was attending two days early and paid for same day express service to make sure the shirt showed up and there were no issues. Not only did the shirt not show up at 230 like it was supposed to but I had to go to the front desk the next day to figure out where it was. Shirt did not show up until 1hour before the wedding two and a half days after I dropped it off for same day service. ANDTHEYSTILLCHARGEDME18EUROANDWOULDNOTREMOVEITFROMMYBILL. Third blunder. We asked for a few restaurant recommendations as we had never been to Paris. First suggestion of course was«we have a fabulous restaurant right here in the hotel» which is understandable and I did not mind that at all. I am a Hilton Diamond Honors Member and this is always the first suggestion every time I ask this anywhere I go. Although after that there were NOSUGGESTIONS. Not only did they not have a concierge at the hotel which was steps from the Eiffel Tour and 200Euro a night but they said sorry we do not know of any other restaurants in the area which we would suggest. It worked out anyway as we figured it out on our own. Fourth blunder. We asked for a car service to take us first to the wedding and second to the airport two days later. The car service for the wedding was non-existent and their suggestion was a taxi. I asked again for a car service and they said I should take a taxi. Third time asking I said we would like a private car service as we have four people, three places to go and we would like to have the car service for a set period of time. Their third suggestion, sorry take a taxi. I still had faith that the car service for the airport would work out because of this being a large hotel with MANY international guests. AMAZINGLY enough, they had a discount with a local«luxury» car service tithe airport and they would take care of it. This is perfect until the morning of our flight. We had a reservation with the car service for 5:15am. The«luxury car» showed up 20 minutes late, it wasn’t a car nor was it private. It was a SHARED van with three other passenger pickups all over PARIS. Needless to say I should have expected this. Terrible customer service with ONEEXCEPTION. Fabian at the front desk was amazing. He was the only competent person that anyone from our entire group dealt with at this hotel for the entire time of our visit. I am a Seinfeld fan and no longer will I shake my fist and say«Newman» when things go wrong. «Mercure» has now been bestowed this honor for everything bad that happens for the rest of my time on this wonderful planet. That is all.
