j’adore j’adore ja’dore! You’ll find this store tucked away on a quiet street in Saint Germain. I get sooo tired of all the frou frou-ness of French stores so the design of Le Labo is right up my alley — it’s minimalistic and makes me miss all the hipster coffee shops in Amurica. Anyway, everything smells scrumptious in the store. You can obviously buy fragrances here, but they also sell candles and laundry detergent or something. Your fragrance is made and bottled in the store when you purchase. You can also get a customised label! Tres mignon. Service is great, product is great, but the price is €€€. But you know, treat yoself! C’est la vie.

Tucked away in the heart of St. Germain is Paris’ new standalone Le Labo store. Prior to this, their products could only be found in Paris at Colette. I’ve been to Le Labo stores in LA, Dallas(Barneys), NYC, London(Liberty’s) and have always enjoyed chatting with the staff as they are consistently knowledgeable and genuine about their passion for perfume and Le Labo’s products. Leonard at this branch was no exception! After catching up on Le Labo’s City Exclusives, debating the merits of Patchouli 24, and sniffing longtime favorites: Cedre, Vetiver, Jasmin and Calone, I purchased a bottle of Bergamot which he custom blended for me. It also came with a personalized label. If you haven’t tried Le Labo’s perfumes before, I’d highly recommend this location on the evocatively named rue de Bourbon-le-Château.
