Really good cheesecakes. I mean, really really good. I go here often and the quality of the food remains consistently great every single time I go. Teas from Perch are pretty nice as well. The place is a bit small(well, it’s on Falkoner Allé) but has a great ambience.

Mouthwatering selection of cheesecakes! I had a hard time picking one because they all looked delicious and there were also a few gluten free options available. I decided on the white chocolate cheesecake and it was just heavenly! The pieces were very big, so if you’re not a complete sweet cake lover you might want to share a piece with a friend. The café is cute, decorated with different colored tables. Service was quick and friendly. I can also recommend their tea selection. You can choose from the different pots on the counter that state the ingredients. I tried Caribbean Dream and Copenhagen Blend, and both were very lovely fruity teas with an amazing scent. I will definitely come here again for the yummy cheesecake and relaxed atmosphere!

I have only tried the cookie cheesecake so far and I can only say that it’s worth the hefty price. I ordered a mediocre cappuccino to compliment the cake and my bill mounted up to 87kr. Didn’t expect it to be so expensive so it’s only good for occasional visit. I would say skip the coffee and go to that speciality coffee in the same neighbourhood for a cheaper yet better coffee.

After a first very expensive lunch experience in Copenhagen at 42 Raw, we were so happy to find this place. Cosy, nice and warm. Plus, breakfast was really affordable — 69DKK(±10 €) for bread, butter, jam, spices, egg and cheese. Still a little bit expensive, but trust me for Copenhagen, it’s really cheap. They have a large choice of different teas. I tried the«Copenhagen Blend» which was very GOOD !

This place is great. I’ve been to both of their locations, this one twice. It has always been a delicious experience. The last time I went I got the Irish coffee flavor, and it was delicious! Both locations have quite a different feel to them, but I like them both. The Frederiksberg location feels a bit more open, so there aren’t as many nooks and crannies to find a cozy place to sit, but it is more modern and nice in it’s own right. I’m sure I’ll go again!

This place is amazing, I go all of the time. I have only tried the Oreo, but my friends have tried all different kinds. It is such a cute place just to hang out, study, and eat cheesecake!

Listen to the other reviews; just go to this place. Delightful cheesecake and delicious-looking tapas(didn’t seem like full-on tapas during the lunch hour; mostly some nice breads with meats and cheeses and spreads). Also a nice place to spend a couple hours studying on a weekday.

I tried 3 different cheesecakes. Most people know that New York cheesecake is one of a kind. With that in mind, the cheesecakes that I tried here were something different. I think the closest one is the mixed berries cheesecake. The texture was perfect whereas the strawberry and oreo cheesecake was too fluffy(almost mousse-like). There wasn’t much of a cheese flavor. But the mixed berries cheesecake makes up for it. *maybe that’s why you can differentiate the thickness of the cake. The mixed berry cake wasn’t as thick because it was denser, i’d assume.

Unfortunately, construction was being done and there was no wifi so I couldn’t get a good idea of whether it was an appropriate spot to nestle down and relax/perhaps bring schoolwork or if it was an in-and-out place to quickly catch up with friends. We sat indoors on ottomans– it was a little bizarre to have your back touching a stranger’s at a different table. Nonetheless, it was cozy and chic with leather and fur. I got the licorice cheesecake upon the server’s recommendation. Great consistency and the perfect balance of sweet cream and tart licorice. My friend enjoyed her lime cake as well but was not too big a fan of her coffee. I hope to come again soon to try their tapas!

I had the blueberry brownie cheesecake. It’s about $ 10 per slice. i guess it’s ok. Cheesecake factory is about that price, right? A bit overpriced, but good. I’ve definitely had better cheesecake before and also better valued cheesecake. The décor is cute though. my friend, who doesn’t like cheesecake, actually liked it though.(what does that mean?!) she said it wasn’t too cheesy/sour like most.

Yum! Me love some cheesecake and I think Bertels do right. Price is rather on the expensive side, but it’s not like I’m eating cake every day. so Thumbs up!

Bertels was featured in Visit Copenhagen’s website as having excellent cheesecake. Therefore cheesecake and coffee it was! I had the Oreo cheesecake and a cappucino. The cheesecake was tasty and very fluffy in texture. It is softer than most cheesecakes I’ve had and had a sweet taste throughout. The crust was made of crushed oreos and being a huge oreo fan, it was super yummy. Unfortunately, this cake was ruined by chunks of caramel that were scattered throughout the cake slice. It made the cake super sweet and almost inedible. I ended up picking out all the chunks but some of the caramel had melted and couldn’t be taken out. Maybe I’ll be back on another day and try another flavor. Just a note that this place is pretty small and doesn’t have a ton of seating. If you’re with a friend, have them grab a seat first. Ordering does take a bit of patience as they only had 1 person at the counter.

Came back to Bertels to finally try the tapas and wine, and hate to say it, but was pretty disappointed. The wine on offer was limited and not that great(the kind that stains your teeth and leaves grainy residue at the bottom of the glass) and the tapas was pretty unoriginal. My only advice is: stick with what you know. When you ask for a suggestion of which of the two bottles of red the owner of the café suggests and his reply is that he doesn’t know, and admits to knowing nothing about wine… you know you’re in for something bad. I end with four stars: three for the tapas, five for the cheesecake & hygge. Pro-tip: from about April on, the front window gets direct afternoon sunlight and basically will result in you feeling like you’re sitting in a sauna if you snag one of the two available tables there. Consider yourselves warned.
