This is only regarding the AMAZING beers that they had available. Their«home brew» dry/bitter had some of the best IPAs that I’ve ever tasted. I honestly cannot remember a better BEER pub. Can’t comment on the food or their normal beer offerings but this time that I was there was unreal. I will definitely come back here next time to see what they have available, or if their selection is standard in which case it must be one of the best in the world!

Great place for draft beer from micro breweries and atmosphere is relaxed with old furniture and a nice place for sitting outside(when the weather allows it). Highly recommended!

Loved this cosy bar. It has a great selection of tap beer and a very helpful and friendly personnel that can help you find what you are looking for in terms of taste. It’s really cosy inside and has a bunch of different seating groups: sofas, bar tables, bar and patio. The bar is just outside kødbyen(meat packing district) and is often full of people. It has an outdoor patio with heating lamps where one can enjoy a beer and smoke as well. On weekdays they close at midnight. Really chill and cosy atmosphere recommended for a relaxing evening.

What a winning brewery-pub! Hell yeah! In the Kødbyen district there’s a nice spot where to have good beer at a reasonable price in a friendly and cosy environment with friends. The selection of beers is hyper wide: over fifteen tap beers to satisfy and fulfill with ethanol even finest throats. I had my first Amager Bryghus beer, «Marry Me in Rio», which you have to try at least once. Highly recommended is also«Wheat is the New Hops», brewed by Mikkeller. These are only two out of many. And trust me, there are many! Price is around 50kr for a large pint of beer, which is super fine as we’re not talking about Green Tuborg or Ichnusa. We’re considering local beer that you’ll hardly have the possibility to taste out of Denmark or Scandinavia. Chance to eat exists as well: french fries are really tasty. Hot dogs, hamburgers and other«beer-food». All in all, one of the finest brewery in the district. Perfect in the summer as the outdoor area is pretty wide with wooden benches and stands.

Yeah, this place was awesome, really casual dive with amazing craft beer and a staff that are really enthusiastic beer nerds. Get here early though if you want a place to sit and if you don’t want a really noisy night. It gets pretty busy.

Good selection. Fair prices and the staff was great. If you’re in Copenhagen and you’re looking for a beer bar look no further. Fair prices and good selection of local draft!

About 20 beers on tap, including the Redchurch Hoxton Stout, which had clearly made the same voyage as me! I wanted to get a local beer but couldn’t find one I liked so went for a beer from a Norwegian brewery called Lervig. I may have said ‘close enough’ but that was only to wind up my Danish buddies. Lervig’s #GrapefulOatIPA was pretty nice. This is a charming cosy bar with an external area for good weather. If you need the bathroom then follow the signs to the Nursing Home Chapel.

Very chill beer bar highlighting Croocked Moon beers. Small, well-thought out local beer tap list with mostly guest taps of top world breweries. Correct glassware. Relaxed, tavern-like atmosphere. Good prices. Service was friendly and quick. Bathrooms have enormous Big Lebowski quotes stenciled everywhere. Some of the Crooked Moon beers were a tad too astringent when I sampled them. No food menu that saw — chips seems to be about it. Ambiance and tap list were both top notch.

This is a non-pretentious bar that serves good selection of beer. There are enough of seating places, indoor and outdoor, unlike nearby Mikeller. I could just imagine that it’d be nice to sit outside when the temperature is warmer in the evening This place might be for the younger soul, though since the music could be loud, or the conversation is, so if you’re a little bit of more old soul like me, perhaps you could consider other«quieter» place, but otherwise, this bar is fine.

Fermentoren is a really nice place to grab a good beer. They have a wide selection of beers, and they know what they are talking about. The limited amount of space in the bar is a bit of a hinder when you want to order. The outside have heat-lamps, which makes this a perfect place for an early spring round of beers.

A bar that has both a great selection of beers and is themed after one of my favourite movies, The Big Lebowski, it’s just to good to be true, or is it? I’m glad to say that it is very much a reality and it is located on the back streets of Vesterbro. You probably know where you are going if you end up here and even though I actually stumbled upon this place by accident a couple of years ago I suspect the majority of first-time visitors are here based on recommendation. When you first get to Fermentoren you see they have a quite spacious outdoor area that, when the climate allows for it, is populated by wooden benches. Perfect for that summer hygge in the sun with a good beer. Walk down a few stairs and you have another smaller outdoor area with heaters and benches just before you enter nirvana. ;) The atmosphere inside is very cozy with old and odd furniture scattered throughout and some of the walls have bar tables and seats along them. Something you’ll notice quite early on is the very apparent Big Lebowski theme with posters of the Dude and Walter plus other movie and music characters all over the place. It will become even more apparent when you visit the toilet after a couple of litres of beer and you’re greated with quotes spray painted on the walls. I don’t want to spoil anything but quotes such as «Obviously you’re not a golfer» or «Shomer fucking shabbos» will make fans of the movie feel right at home and I am one of them. OK, enough about Big Lebowski, what about the beer? They have a great selection of different beer, I think there are about 20 taps. There is a focus on beer that actually has taste like your IPAs and APAs and the menu changes frequently. If you’re a fan of beer you will most likely find something suits your taste buds and for those of you that are tagging along a friend who is somewhat of a beer nerd, don’t worry, they also have a few pilsners. They are reasonably priced and you’ll get a large beer for 50DKK which is alright for a place like this. It can get crowded especially during winter when there is no outdoor tables. The crowd is very varied from young people to beer nerds, to middle aged rockers to entire families, kids included. All in all it’s a great place to start or end your night, or anything in –between.

Well, this is the best beer place ever. But really. BESTBEER. OHMYGOD. Some background information: I came to Copenhagen for 7 days with my boyfriend. We were at Fermentoren 4 of those evenings. This was not planned or deliberate… we just somehow kept ending up at this place because the beer selection was out of this world. Dark, espresso-y stouts, pungent belgian ales, hoppy IPAs, and beers that I don’t even know what was going on but it was lovely… this is what you will enjoy in an evening at Fermentoren. Also five stars for the atmosphere, décor, and quirkiness. Bartenders very knowledgeable and helpful. Chips came in a melted record bowl. So yeah. Go there.

One of my favourite bars in Copenhagen. Well worth the walk off the normal tourist track, particularly for people into their beer and looking for somewhere with good draft craft options on tap. It’s nothing fancy looks wise, in fact, think style wise of something you would see at the docks on the famous tv show«The Wire». It’s grainy and edgy, but it has around 20 craft beers on tap and decent low key American retro music playing In the background. We spent about 3 hours chatting to the exceptionally friendly Australian owner about everything from beer to politics to traveling and then back to beer again. They brew their own beer called a Yippie IPA which was lovely and well worth trying. Clientele seem to be mainly quiet locals rather than tourists and there is an area to sit outside if you want to. This is the sort of place I would go all the time if there was one back home in Glasgow. Enjoy!

It’s a cozy little place(all places to hang in København are very cozy) with a huge list of craft beers. They brew their own — the IPA is very tasty, and stock a shed-load of others, including the other local hero, Mikkeller. Very knowledgeable bar staff, quiet clientele, with décor reminiscent of a student bar; not a criticism, but it gives it a lived-in, well-loved quality. On a rainy, cold night in København, it was warm, welcoming, and full of very nice things. Including a huge painting of Bert Reynolds in the ladies loo.

Fantastic beer and great atmosphere. What’s not to love! I visited this place a few months ago, but I still remember the place vividly. The bartender was very helpful in helping me and my friends out with the right choice of beer, gave us a few tastings and I ended up very satisfied with my choice. I would say that the beers are fairly priced. Would definitely come back here.

Although I do recall [perhaps too] loudly proclaiming that«this place smells like a sweaty sumo wrestler» on Friday night, I feel the need to officially take it all back on Monday morning. It was actually hot inside, however,(and, you know, «stuffy») but fortunately it was just below brisk outside, so sitting on the benches at the entrance was absolutely still an option. :) Drinks here were stellar. I went against the grain, like a real hipster(I’m not really a hipster), and ordered wine. Hey, that’s fermented too, right? It was a divine glass of wine, I should add. The scene here is relaxed and extremely cozy. If I hadn’t been on a pubcrawl with coworkers, I might’ve been inclined to stay all night. Extra points for putting The Big Lebowski quotes on the bathroom walls.
