Palác Akropolis

Really enjoyed myself. My friend and I went for jazz music and we found electronic, funky and obviously jazz music. A must for all the tourist and citizens!

Good Saturday night dance club for 25+ age group. Just not many women inside. Two different dance floors and good vibe there. Only a 3 because you can smoke inside. Yuck!

This is a legendary club/​theatre/​concert hall/​restaurant in Žižkov. I go there mainly for concerts or theatre performancies. But many people like to enjoy the club´s atmosphere. Because, as we say in Vinohrady or Žižkov: If you don´t know where to go at 2am, just go to Akropolis, because there is always someone :-)
OK, first of all concerts and theatre performancies. Acoustic is pretty good. It´s not huge but still. There can be around 250 sitting people for a theatre performance and 1000 standing for a concert. Mainly not so known bands and theatre groups play here but there are from time to time some famous and known ones.
Club is divided into more rooms. And there are different music styles in each of them. Plus there are some «quiet» places. There two bars but one is only for coctails and shots. The other one has also beer.
Restaurant is kind an average. It´s usually very smokey so get ready for it or sit outside. Yes, they have a garden. On the sidewalk next to the street, but the street is not so busy, so it doesn´t matter. Meals are ok. Beer is from Pilsen.
So I would definitely recommend this place for its cultural events but not really for a gastronomical experience.

I like this place. It is one of those, «I don’t really know what I am in the mood for so let’s go here» type places.
The menu offers up a wide variety of yummy treats ranging from something for the die hard carnivores to appeasing the vegetarians in the group. I am pretty sure they even have some vegan food type stuff. The food is always pretty good, with large portions and plenty of bacon. Seriously they put bacon in EVERYTHING, except the vegetarian stuff.
There is pretty decent seating options and even when packed it never seems to be too smokey, which is AWESOME!
They also have a decent cocktail selection if for some reason you should be tired of beer.

Kann die Meinung meines Vorredners überhaupt nicht teilen. Wir waren zu zweit an einem Samstag abend im Palac Akropolis und können uns nicht beschweren. Die Portionen waren riesig und die Preise sind super günstig. Im Vergleich zu den mit Touristen vollgestopften Läden in anderen Stadtvierteln ist das Publikum sehr angenehm. Das Personal war super nett und wir wurden prompt bedient. Gerne wieder!

Das Palac Akropolis war wohl ganz früher mal ein Hort der Gegenkultur. Mittlerweile ist es wie der ganze Stadtteil Vinohradská schick und teuer geworden. Wir waren in der Bar und Restaurant, die auch wochentags rappelvoll mit hippen jungen Leuten war. Die Bedienung ist mittlerweile rasant (das war früher offenbar anders), die Preise liegen auf europäischem Niveau, und die überbackenen Baguettes hatten eher Häppchengröße.
Zugegebenermaßen, das Gebäude — ich würde es als eine Mischung aus Fünfziger Jahre und art déco bezeichnen — ist schick, und man hat einen tollen Ausblick auf den Fernsehturm wenn man aus der Bar kommt.

Ce bar, boîte, salle de concert est génialissime. Construit dans un ancien théatre, il représente à fond l’ambiance des soirées pragoises: de la bonne musique dans un décor alternatif, réhabilité, plein de bierre, plein de gens, bref, allez voir.

Bien plus qu’une simple salle de concert, il comprend :
— Une salle de concert au –1
— Un Bar au RDC
— Un restaurant avec bar au RDC
— 2 mini salle + BAR au niveau –1.
Donc c’est un lieux ou on vas aussi bien pour manger, boire simplement un verre ou tout autres chose qu’il peut proposer.
Pour avoir habité à quelques mètres, c’est ouvert tout les jours il me semble et toujours du monde.
Les mini bar et salle (dur à décrire le genre de lieux) au — 1, sont vraiment très sympa et hormis la salle de concert ou l’on peux faire la fête c’est dans ces lieux ou tout se passé principalement.
La musique y est varié, salsa, electro, selecta, etc vraiment de tout et pour tous.
Ce n’est que très rarement que l’accès au bar du –1 soit payant et si c’est le cas ce n’est vraiment pas chère. Un vestiaire est disponible.
Pour ceux qui n’ont pas le sens de l’orientation sa se trouve tout prêt de la grande antenne de Zizkov.
