The sushi chef is off on Sunday and Monday, so I didn’t get my fix on raw fish, but the dinner was outstanding, the service impeccable and the Sake was HOT. They even called my hotel when I left my card after finishing. How they knew what hotel I was staying is a mystery to me!

I happened to wander by as I was lost in Brno and then checked the Unilocal reviews which actually seemed understated. When I see the review that says best in the country, that didn’t strike me because I had not thought of the Czech Republic as being on the culinary radar (after having spent time in Prague years ago and being quite disappointed in the food). WOW have things changed in the Czech Republic!
I was amazed and impressed by each course. The meal started with an amuse that sounded rather unpleasant to an American — carp jelly! But it was yummy, more than one bite and each bite was delicious — with a beet purée and a horseradish cream. The sushi was good and the cooked fish was great. The variety of preparations and accompaniments were intriguing. The suggested wine pairings for the courses worked great and the waiter was very attentive– describing them each time.
The price is definitely high, but worth it.

The best restaurant in Brno, considered one of the best in the country. They offer great sea food, sushi prepared by Japanese sushi masters, and Asian fusion. Their service is superb.
During lunch time you mostly get the place, it is ideal for business lunch. In the evenings, the place gets more romantic. For evenings, it is better to book the place.
Recently, when the place had become very popular, their prices have gone up considerably. Fortunately, I would say the quality followed this path as well. Expect to pay approx. 3000 CZK for dinner of two including fine bottle of wine.
