If you want to have all your requests ignored, and half your beard shaved off when you explicitly told them not to touch the length, then head over to Tommy Guns! I had the bulk of my beard shaved off, ruining the beard’s shape and aesthetic all while the girl said «so many stylists ignore their customers and ruin their beards. If you don’t know how to work with beard’s, don’t try and trim one and hope it goes well.» LMFAO well, you have no idea how to trim a beard. Also, if you want them to pressure you into getting extra work done ie. eyebrow trim and pay $ 100 total this place is your dream barber shop. Absolute thumbs down…

Having just recently moved to Winnipeg and being very picky about my weekly cuts I had a hard time finding a place that would give me the quality of cut I had been receiving back home. Walking in I noticed that all the barbers were female. To be honest this made me nervous as my experience in the past was that women were generally stylists not barbers and no matter how talented they may have been could never get the concept of how to give a proper cut and fade. The receptionist on duty could sense my hesitation I think and before I turned around and walked out said she had just the person for me and introduced me to Anita. She talked me into the full package (wash, hot towel, scalp massage, shave) and again being used to old school shops where I would never think of requesting a scalp massage I was a little apprehensive thinking I would be getting a spa treatment instead of a solid haircut. It was AWESOME. The best part of the whole deal was that she knew exactly what she was doing. She was very personable and took her time and made sure that I got exactly what I wanted. The fade was tight, she took great care in making sure I was lined up properly and to be honest coming from a guy that never in a million years would have had anyone but an old school male barber cut his hair she gave me the best haircut I’ve had in a really long time. I have found my new go to Barber and would highly recommend Anita and Tommy Guns to anyone.

This girl just messed up my hairline and I used to feel good about the place I might never return

I have been going to this place off and on since it has opened. I had never had a hot towel shave before going here. It was pleasant experience that I got hooked on. It was basically a facial for a guy and took me away from the hustle and bustle of life for an hour. The shave was fairly close, but not perfect for the almost $ 50 price tag with taxes. I went again a few weeks later and had the same girl do the shave and it was better. The next time I went, it was a different girl with the same learning curve. After a few shaves, it was perfect again. A month later, the same insanity as the girl I got used to was no longer there. It seems the turnover in staff was fairly high. So I abandoned this place for another that have a better shave, just not the whole experience. After 4 months, I decided to give them another chance and got lucky to get in the chair of someone who could not only give a killer shave, but do a proper flattop as well. I was hooked. I knew I would be back. I went a month later and requested the same girl and got an even better shave by her than the first time. I finally found someone I could trust. I went for a shave a few weeks ago and the Tommy Gun’s curse struck me again, she no longer worked there. I do not understand why there is stuck a high turnover in staff but can tell you I will not be going back here to experience the same problems again. I should have learned by the old saying «Fool me one, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.»
